^interesting parts from this…
Danielson and Leonard would be great additions to the prospect pool. Strbak in the 2nd round would be how I judge this draft. This is what I'm expecting but I usually get it wrong.

If we pick Benson instead of Leonard, then I would suspect Keller wants out. But I don't think Keller wants out right now.

Yeah. You've convinced me. He seems like Michkov without the risk? Can we packages enough seconds to move up get him? Any chance we can get 3 picks in the top 13? Leonard, Benson, and a D would be real nice.

1. CHI - Bedard
2. ANA - Fantilli
3. CBJ - Carlsson
4. SJS - Smith
5. MTL - Leonard/Reinbacher
6. ARI - ???

^ If MTL takes Leonard in that scenario, I don’t know what AZ will do. I believe the Coyotes would pass on Michkov for Leonard. I don’t know about Reinbacher or Dvorsky vs Michkov, though.

Pretty sure we aren’t getting Leonard… I think BA trades down to Washington

Is BA taking a kid 6th overall that he’s never met? Are Plandowski and Jankowksi advocating that he take such a risk when they’ve never met him? When was the last time any of these three saw Michkov play a game in-person?

I’m pretty skeptical that they’d consider drafting Michkov at 6th.

We haven’t talked much about picks 38, 70, 72, 81 and 88. For pick 38, I’m interested primarily in Strbak but also Molendyk, Brzustwicz, and Gibson. Though, if Gracyn Sawchyn falls to 38, I’d scrap positional need. Charlie Stramel falling that far would be very interesting, also. Also interested in Connor Levis, there.

At 70 or 71, I’d really like Matteo Mann and Jacob Fowler. I think 81 and 88 might be a bit early for some other kids I like (Jake Sloan, Konnor Smith, Donovan McCoy).

Someone like Nico Myatovic who seems up our alley likely goes smack in the middle of 38 and 70.

Bill has overseen five 2nd round picks.

Four of them have been euro and one of them was Doan.

All of them, according to public lists, were reaches (I'm not complaining, I think they were good gambles).

I bet we go with Strbak at 38, given the rumours that Coyotes have shown lots of interest in him. Otherwise another unheralded euro.

I am in the camp where I’d have little to no interest in trading down. But if Montreal did draft Leonard, and we didn’t want the risk of Michkov and Philadelphia is eyeing Benson, trading down could be the perfect scenario if a guy like Dvorsky would be next on our list with BA’s preference in size.

Trading back for an additional asset (Chesley idea sounds interesting) while still getting our next best ranked player on the board would be a win win scenario if Washington wanted to ensure they get Michkov. The Michkov thing will make this an interesting draft that’s for sure.
