One of Moore, Leonard, or Danielson + Reinbacher would be a good day I think

I’m anti Benson as well. I like the player. I just don’t want AZ to draft him. Michkov is a different story. But even he’s worrisome due to off ice drama.

Dvorsky was my guy coming into the year (knowing we wouldn’t pick top 2). Coming into the season, it was Bedard, Michkov and Dvorsky for me. I didn’t know much about Fantilli.

Now that the lottery is over and done, I’m going back to Dvorsky as my pick for 6. If Michkov falls, I take him and hope for the best in a few years, this is where the Ottawa pick comes in.

I’m absolutely fine taking Michkov at 6, because we have a pick at 12. Taking a risk at an elite superstar level player is what this organization needs. Even if it means we wait a few years.

At 12, I like Reinbacher a lot. I don’t think he makes it past 10. I’d be fine with Wood, Reinbacher or Honzek at 12, regardless of who we take at 6. If it’s Dvorsky, I’m actually okay trading back a little from 12 and getting a few more pieces. If it’s Michkov, I take one of the other three and call it a successful day.

Anyone other than Benson at six please. Undersized average skater? no thanks.
He’s not an average skater. He’s an excellent skater. He’s the best skill/motor combo I’ve ever seen at the CHL level. I’ve got him 3rd overall. He’s going to be a perennial all star.

Have you seen Benson play? He’s the best penalty killer and best defensive forward in the CHL and he’s more skilled and more productive than Savoie or Geekie.

Benson doesn't seem like a BA type of guy.
I agree. I think we will pass on him. I’m guessing Dvorsky.

I wrote it here a couple days ago, I'll say it again though.

We're going to pick one of Michkov, Dvorsky or Reinbacher. If Michkov is there, I think we take him. Otherwise it's one of those other two. I have no idea which one though.

I want Benson. But I think we’ll pass on him.

I’m hoping for Dvorsky as a more realistic option. I think we could all universally get behind a Dvorsky pick. Feels kinda perfect. A very safe, very pro ready center. Allows us to do really whatever we want with 12th, no matter how crazy.

I’m okay with this. Add Bensen to the mix as well as he is a legitimate first line talent and deserves all the praise rt showers upon him. Picking at 6 is just fine.

I think Leo Carlsson is more of a fitting comp for Kopitar.
Carlsson has played winger exclusively for two years and I don’t think he’s shown the two way ability of kopitar. Carlsson, as much as I like him, and have him in my top five, and think he’s a great prospect, also always looks like he’s in some stage of falling down. He looks stumbly bumbly. Still an amazing prospect that I’d be thrilled to add but if anyone in the top five is actually overrated rather than underrated, I think it’s him.

This seems pretty realistic.

Can you imagine having these 4 midget LWs all in the lineup?

Keller Hayton Schmaltz
Michkov Cooley Guenther
Benson Geekie Doan
Maccelli McBain Crouse

Central Phoenix
2026 lineup lol

Keller - Matthews - Guenther
Crouse - Hayton - Michkov
Maccelli - Geekie - Doan
Cooley still a Gopher or signing with a different team?
How about we keep Cooley, or find a way to sign him and leave Matthews in Toronto. Also you are missing Leonard, Honzek or Danielson in that top nine with the Ottawa pick. I'm so fking glad we traded the injury.

BA could go size and take The D and a big W at 12 or Leonard and a Swedish D. Who knows?

Trade down with StL and see if we can pick up a late 1st? 10th, 12th, 30 maybe get Reinbacher, Danielson, Dragicevic?
Vejmelka and the 38th for 23rd?
I like where your heads at. With all the draft capital we have I could see us making alot of moves up and down this draft getting the guys BA wants.

Just give me a Leonard and Reinbacher/Wood. We don't need a Benson.
PS: Michkov in top4 is 100%.
I’d rather have Benson alone than both Reinbacher and Wood. But I fully expect us to pass on him. So I’ll stop harping on it soon. But I’m coming back in three years to never shut up about it. He’s going to be a 75+ point winger with Selke caliber defense.

I’ll promise for a few days to stop harping on it. Then I’ll actually stop. I promise.

I thought about the perfect storm in which Carlsson slid on down to 6
CBJ picks Smith, Sharks take Michkov, and the Habs think Carlsson is too much like Slafkovsky and pass on him...
