Red Wings needs to get more physical and getting Leonard, Dvorsky or Reinbacher will helps, but who else those kind of players , Tkachuk like, we should target?
Yup. I think Wood and Perreault are highly possible at 9. Especially if Leonard and Dvorsky are gone.
Is that a no from our side, their side, or both sides? No, but even more all caps'd.
Ours definitely, maybe theirs. Is that a no from our side, their side, or both sides?
Who would everyone be most disappointed with at 9?
to me, I'm happy with
Dvorskly, Reinbacher, Leonard, or Benson
Im kinda sad with
Perreault, Sale, ASP, or Barlow
You are most likely talking about first round but maybe Martin Misiak in the later rounds? Big center that plays physical.Red Wings needs to get more physical and getting Leonard, Dvorsky or Reinbacher will helps, but who else those kind of players , Tkachuk like, we should target?

We need offense and you guys would be sad with drafting the kid who scored the most pts in a season on the USDP ever? Interesting. Have you seen the other names on the list?At 9 I'd be sad with: Perreault, Sale, ASP, Barlow, Cristall, Honzek, Musty.
I'm hoping this draft becomes as good as the 2003 draft, but almost a year of watching this draft it doesn't seem as good (to me) as 2019, 2020, 2021 in terms of depth when you go past the top 4 picks. I've really cooled on a lot of the players and for the sake of this team I hope I'm wrong.
There are many ways to win a game. One of them is with a terrifying forecheck, which is what we're seeing from Florida right now, IMO. Besides, Leonard has a lot more skill than some of the guys he'd be replacing.Who the f*** cares about drafting physical players right now? This team truly lacks skill, they should prioritize that over everything in this draft.
Who are the physical unskilled players people are suggesting? Physicality and skill aren't mutually exclusive. See Seider, Moritz.Who the f*** cares about drafting physical players right now? This team truly lacks skill, they should prioritize that over everything in this draft.
He could be next Panarin , but at the moment his skating and defensive game not as good as his offenseWe need offense and you guys would be sad with drafting the kid who scored the most pts in a season on the USDP ever? Interesting. Have you seen the other names on the list?

I can kind of understand being skeptical. I think it would be silly to be sad at getting someone with the upside he has, but that's me.Because on the Cole Perfetti scale, Zach Benson is a better skating Perfetti and Perrealt is a worse skating and way worse defensively Perfetti. Picking him at 9 is overdrafting him. Mid to late 1st is fine. The kid has high bust potential despite high point totals.

9 is not overdrafting him, he literally just came in at 9 on Bob's most recent list. The list based on talking to NHL scouts.
For someone who loved Eklund, I think you should give this kid way more of a shot.
One of the reasons I like Perreault is because he is SO effective as a player despite being really raw physically.Eklund could skate much better than Perreault.
I don't think he's that bad of a skater personally, just inconsistent. I've seen him skate very fast in some occasions. He does get pushed off the puck quite easily and he struggles a lot along the boards compared to someone like Leonard but I personally don't read too much into that because I think it's one of the easiest thing to improve on, maybe not the "instinct" part of it, but definitely the physical aspect. I also don't buy the notion that he's bad defensively. He might be bad now but it's quite easy to see why. I see the same logic as I saw with Michkov: people don't see him defend therefore they think he's bad defensively but just getting involved vs getting beat defensively or getting lost on coverage are very different things. When he gets involved I think he's fine. I agree with you that he is so effective despite being so raw, his natural talent is incredible. One of the reasons I like Perreault is because he is SO effective as a player despite being really raw physically.
I think he could be scary once he add some muscle and develops more physically. Think it will help with his skating too.
Not really Tkachuk like but these kids used their size and strenght at U18 Worlds very well.Red Wings needs to get more physical and getting Leonard, Dvorsky or Reinbacher will helps, but who else those kind of players , Tkachuk like, we should target?
Would it really be that much a shock? He checks a lot of boxes. Pronman mocked Honzek to the Wings at 9th which seems more surprising to me.![]()
NHL Mock Draft 1.0: How does Scott Wheeler see the first round after Connor Bedard?
With the NHL Draft Lottery complete, The Athletic's Scott Wheeler tried to figure out which players could go where in the first round.theathletic.com
AAAANNNNDDD once again Wheeler manages to make a mock draft that makes me want to punch him square in the mouth.....
Wings pass on Dvorsky, Benson, Wood, Yager AND Moore to take....Nate Danielson, his 20th! ranked player because of his "well rounded game, pro size, and being a safe bet to be a solid 2/3C behind Larkin." Sorry dipshit, we drafted the superior version of that LAST year with Kasper.
Blues get Benson, Canucks get Dvorsky, Pens get Wood, Yotes get Moore and Preds get Yager. And then just for good measure, Willander goes at 16 before the Wings can get him at 17 or 18.
perreault has silky mits but he is a player i would be happy with at 18 but dissappointed with at 9 considering the other players available. think SY will gun for a power forward, a centre or a RHD at 9th IMOSeems Leonard, Dvorsky, Perreault, Reinbacher, and Wood is this forums short list for 9th. Not a bad group of guys to choose from. I have all day for any of them.
