Hopefully he can be our Al Murray. He mentioned in an other interview I saw that he had offers from both Jim Nill and Ken Holland to tag along to Dallas and Edmonton if he wanted to.

Nice mock draft, but if I draft today #8, I would choose between Moore, Leonard and Reinbacher. Pretty much after top 5 is total mess, about 20 players could be go anywhereMy first Top80 for 2023:

Quite forward-heavy on the Top29, think the D are gonna rise and they go higher on draft day.
Could see Leo Carlsson easily picked at Top3, and Michkov will fall some positions, but not too far. Not outside from Top10.

Disagree, teams depending on circumstances, philosophy ,structure, connections ect invest more scouting resources in certain regions then others. These people are literally paid to watch draft eligible players. There is not a single organization that didn't have eyes on him all year. Now I think teams and public scouts differed in how they projected him as an NHL player (which will always happen) but he was hardly under-scouted as you suggest. He was playing in the WC immediately prior to the draft after all.
What the Wings got right about him was their projection. They thought he was more skilled with the puck than he had showed and had more offense in him than he had shown. They also deserved credit for having the stones to take him where they did (i.e. their conviction of his projection).
Dont see how Reinbacher would still be available come our 2nd first. If Moore and Reinbacher would be our 2 1st round picks and I'll be dancing in the streets.

I'd be very happy with a
our own first: Smith/Reinbacher
NYI 1st: Danielson/Ritchie
And if we dont land DR we get Tom Willander with one of our seconds.
If he drops to a decent range. It'll be a no brainer. But i suspect he'll go top 10.If the Wings are hot on Reinbacher or other players I guess they could trade up. They've showed they're willing to do it with Cossa 2 years ago.
Not sure where Reinbacher is expected to go.

Talk about moving goal posts, the statement was the everyone knew who he was on draft day and that he wasn't uncovered by Hakan the Great. And yes, just about every poster on this board knows what Bob's List is. I would like to enter into evidence the final "Bob's List" for the 2019 draft. And your moving the goalposts you said everybody on this forum knew exactly how good seider would be. which is complete bs. Search Sportnet's coverage of Seider's draft on youtube and you will see that the wings picking him at 6 took a lot of people off gaurd.
I think the point was Seider was never considered a top 10 pick, of which are the ones that are usually the best odds at drafting high caliber players.Talk about moving goal posts, the statement was the everyone knew who he was on draft day and that he wasn't uncovered by Hakan the Great. Look at little old Mo sitting there ten whole spots behind where he was actually taken. Not much of a reach if you really think about it.
If you have any knowledge whatsoever that certain teams don't scout central European professional leagues, please do us all a favor and list those organizations. Hockey is very much a niche sport. There are a relatively small number of leagues that actually feed into the NHL draft, especially in Europe.
Seider played for national team at WC and looks pretty good, year ago was Hughes, who played for USA national team, he was also was good, but we decided to go with shiny Zadina instead. Looking forward, we should not make Zadina mistake againI think the point was Seider was never considered a top 10 pick, of which are the ones that are usually the best odds at drafting high caliber players.
Correct me if I'm wrong whoever is arguing back and forth with this guy.
Man, if we had hughes and seider back there? yikes.Seider played for national team at WC and looks pretty good, year ago was Hughes, who played for USA national team, he was also was good, but we decided to go with shiny Zadina instead. Looking forward, we should not make Zadina mistake again
Think it would be logical to take Reinbacher with our first pick (~#8) and then forward with the NYI pick (~#16) .if reinbacher is there with the 2nd pick aweomse. Run up and grab him but we need offense

Very interesting how you're rewriting history. But thats ok.Talk about moving goal posts, the statement was the everyone knew who he was on draft day and that he wasn't uncovered by Hakan the Great. He has an interesting track record of scoring goals.Going to mention Hannes Hellberg again. If he was two weeks younger, he would be first time eligible.
He was 5th in Swedish J20 Nationell scoring, led the Swedish U19 (Five Nations?) in points, and is currently tied with Unger Sorum (his linemate) for the points in the J20 playoffs.
I mentioned my model for finding under-valued D--specifically noting Adam Engstrom this time last year. Now I am tinkering with a model for forwards. One of the variables is Point Mobility, which is producing at different levels, such as tournaments, regular season, and playoffs. Hellberg is the top prospect outside the consensus top 50 for that measure. Others who do well on PM are: Unger Sorum, Kiiskinen, Terrance, and Joe Connor.
This kid looks interesting to me, have been trying to find more info on him: Sam Court at eliteprospects.comAny overages you guys like, because you know, We probably going to get 2 of them
Dvorsky with the late 1st? I really doubt he lasts that far. Also stuck on Oscar Fiskar Molgaard v Dalibor Dvorsky with the later first round pick. Both seem possible to be available and potential picks.
There's a 19 year old defenseman who had 30 points in the Allsvenskan this year. Can't recall his name at the moment, but I wouldn't mind using a 4th rounder on him.Any overages you guys like, because you know, We probably going to get 2 of them
Not in the allsvenskan, but this kid has very impressive production:There's a 19 year old defenseman who had 30 points in the Allsvenskan this year. Can't recall his name at the moment, but I wouldn't mind using a 4th rounder on him.
