Ehhh, maybe Ogee's phone kiosk rule needs to kick in here...I already get my eyes stuck in the back of my head every time someone makes a slapping reference in the Will Smith thread in the prospects section...I can only imagine the cringe that will follow if we end up drafting him. Now, please tell me MOORE about the COLBY cheese that's on SALE, is it cheaper than the bottle of YAGER? (Ok, I'm stretching with the last one, and I know how Sale is actually pronounced)

I don’t know, relative to where he’s ranked I like him more than I liked Cooley last year.

I think you are just overthinking this like you were with Luke Hughes :dunno:

I wasn’t a Cooley guy but I liked him better in his draft year than I do Smith.

And maybe you’re conveniently forgetting the fact that Smith has two of the top offensive wingers in the draft on his line? They do a lot of offensive generation themselves that Smith benefits from. When I’ve watched USNTDP I come away Moore impressed with other players.

This kid's shooting/passing ability is really good... to go along with being 6'2/205. Plus he is young for this draft. I like him, I think he would have huge hype if he was on the USDP team.

Felix Nilsson was looking pretty good at the 4 nations.

Also another Wings hopeful 2nd/3rd round pick Tom Willander looked good.

Sandin-Pelikka reminds me a bit of the Lundqvist that NYR traded to Dallas, or a slightly taller Emil Andrae. I get a feeling someone will gamble on him in the top 20 and I don't know if it will work out very well.

More Nilsson highlights. I'm really liking this kid. He won't be under the radar too much longer.

No particular skill "pops" but good skating, great mind, and able to hit his wingers with passes 9 times out of 10 while playing pretty responsible defense. Really reminding me a lot of Lukas Reichel in 2020.

His rush offense is for sure tantalizing, he just has all the marks of an Athanasiou like player. Disengaged in his own end, mostly producing on the rush, etc. He's gotten better defensively but who knows how well he cam develop that. Worth a late 1st imo.

I think he sees the ice and uses his teammates better than AA.

But his game when the other team has the puck is an issue. He gave Calum Ritchie a breakaway over the weekend. Very possible Yzerman/Lalonde are not interested in him despite his (IMO) really good offensive game.

Nick Lardis is someone to keep an eye on from the OHL. Has been red hot since switching teams and was a top performer in the testing at the Top Prospect game.

Here's his Eliteprospects page.

Nick Lardis at eliteprospects.com

Almost 2 PPG for Hamilton but was barely over 0.5ppg for the Petes. He's only played 15 games for them but is 6th in team scoring for the year. He's another guy that could be a steal.

He caught my eye too. Could be a 2nd or 3rd round target.
