I anticipate that you'd have to move up from 17 to make this happen, but I'd love to leave the first round with one of Benson or Perreault (preference for Benson) and one of Barlow or Danielson (very torn between these two players).

Beyond Raymond, I think we sorely lack young talent who can slow down play and generate offense in controlled 5v5 possession or on the powerplay, so I'd really like to add a player who can contribute there. Beyond Kasper, I think we really lack athletic forwards who can also contribute a respectable amount of points (and without ruffling feathers, I'm still not wild about Kasper's projection as a point producer).

Would've loved to win Fantilli, who I think addresses both of those issues in many ways. Carlsson to an extent as well. With that ship sailed, I'd still like to target players who address those issues, even if you can't do it in one swoop.

What are these opinions based on?

How about the other part of that article where they ranked him #2?
Someone's gonna fall. There's going to be d-men drafted in the top 15, probably more than the majority of draft rankings and mocks are projecting. Benson just seems like a likely candidate to be a faller.

As for Mackenzie's rankings, I've seen no indication that they are a mock draft. He's moved down Michkov a little bit in his latest rankings, but it's still not a mock. Ranking Michkov at #2 is perfectly fine - if it's not a mock.

O% chance benson is available at 17

Draft is coming , so I think this is good spot for Steve

Three 2nd rounders doesn't get you a top 6 center. Hopefully Boston's 1st is in play. But could be telling that Ottawa may accept 2nds and a prospect for Debrincat.

Hope stevie sticks to what hes saying. We need to make those 2 picks in the 1st. We need to hit on potential 1st line star prospects and speed up the rebuild

If we move 2nds I hope it's to get back into the 1st and target a but, musty etc... and not use it to get a husso type. Use the 3rd in that case unless it's for a young 18-22 year old with real upside not another perlini project

If we keep the multiple 2nd rounders, I'd be interested in Kalan Lind. Dude puts it all on the line and hits everything, but has some good hockey sense too.
I'd trade back to like 48 and add a 5th if that's the pick. I'd rather target someone with upside than what looks to be another bottom 6 guy. We have savage Nilsson james already in the system need some offense in the lineup

3 first will be great, even late first could give you excellent prospect. My target whoud be just like yours plus Sawchyn , Nadeau, Edstrom and Molgaard
