I must say I am very scared about the game tommorow we have better team, se should win, but thats exactly the problem lol. Ve generally dont do well in those kind of matches, And I am worried that Slovaks will suprise us.

I think we’ll win against Slovakia, although it is certainly not a given. Overall I am not confident about the tournament though. Plus I really think Kari has made done odd choices, I expected better from him. If your pool of available players is shallow, at least try and pick the best ones that actually ARE available!!

That's my gripe. we don't take the best available guys and then say 'look at 2010 or 1998'. Cool, it worked and was great (both wins fueled by hot NHL goalies and had Jagr). And in 1996 we brought all 'names' and lost. So no more names. I don't think people remember that in 2010 we barely made the quarters! Or that we hadn't won a medal in almost a decade at the Skoda's. But sure, let's take weaker players and then say shit like it's about team chemistry. That is 100% true but is there a reason we can't get our best players AND good chemistry? Nonetheless.. I look forward to the Slovakia game and will cheer wildly.

I don’t care that his numbers over a whole season in Europe look decent. These are not league games, these tournament games for the national team have their own dynamic and psychological components. I've highlighted all his games for the Czech team and have pointed out in RED all the shitty performances.lol

Note that everything not highlighted (for club teams) is exceptional.. .920 or higher everywhere. For us? Sub .900 is normal. I think the .500 may be a mistake of some sort? Not sure what that is and it doesn't seem right.

That is going back to 2014 and the dude is 31... it's such a bad bet. I hope he proves me wrong and wins it all but I f***en doubt it.lol

Haha I was wondering the same. For Finns is kinda amazing but sad at the same time that Florida (3 Finns), Dallas (4 Finns; 5 if counting Kiviramta) and Carolina (4, 5 if u count Puljujärvi) are all looking like they'll advance.

Ofc Carolina has only Kotkaniemi and Aho playing and Raanta is a backup.. so yea.

I hope u guys get Palat, would be good for the tournament.

Voráček, Kaše concussions, Krejčí is probably over, Zacha does not want to represent, Kaut and Zadina are busts. These are huge losses. I would say that the Swiss in the best lineup would probably be the favorite against us at the moment. And here they will probably have the best possible selection without a few players.

In last few years they were almost always lucky to have their best guys except Josi grouping over here. And they bombed out in QF anyway. I would not put too much weight on this.

And they won some medals before that. Yes, it's been a few years back, but he said that the skeleton of the team is similar, I don't want to completely search and compare it. We'll see. Anyway, they are the most strengthened team possible.

Swiss could become strong medal favs if the devil's come. They are already in medal talks but they have some amazing talent available.

Sitting nhlers is a Czech tradition! We are smarter than everyone else! Just look at our medal totals! I still remember 2006... Vokoun, Hasek and an old hnilicka. Guess who started the semis?

Only way to guarantee an nhler in net is to bring 3 of them. Ftr... Even in a world cup or best on best Olympics I think they'd find a way to include Jordan and hrubec.

Hrubec already cost us 1ridiculous goal and in some way also Cernoch, If he was able to keep that reeeealy slow shot, that contact and injury would not happen
