If Pasta comes, the others will come too. His energy and enthusiasm would be enough to convince them. Nosek would be great for PK and faceoffs.

Unfortunately, they probably won't invite Kulich or Rousko like that, which is a huge shame. I think both would have a good chance to make the roster. I don't understand the week delay either

According to the server iSport, Pastrňák won't come (personal reasons, probably). It is of course not confirmed because iSport is quite a tabloit, they have good info sometimes, sometimes not. I wouldn't be suprised if he declines this year. He must be disappointed as hell after the season the Bruins had, and it is completely understandable he wants to spend some time with his partner, friends etc.

I wouldn't be suprised if he declines this year. I won't be upset if he doesn't come tbh. I totally respect his right to decline BUT it sucks because if he came, I think a few others would come too! He is a social centre of Czech hockey.

Speaking of not playing... Kulich and Rousek are in a 2 - 2 tie in a best of 5. If they lost they are available.. they have a full week of before game 4.lol

Syracuse and Rochester are about 150kms apart... further than Brno from Prague. They could legit walk 20kms a day and get to the next match.lol AHL is weird.

Blame the AHL play-in round. The play-in winner (Utica) and the Marlies won't be finished with their series until Sunday so they gave the teams that started their 2 vs 3 time off to have them both finish around the same time.

Next year in Prague we should be stronger.

Completely useless to have player like Zacha in NHL if he never plays for nt. He could be from Mongolia or whatever country and it would have the same effect for our hockey

There are multiple better choices than Sobotka. He's old and burnt out. Voženílek, Flek, Černoch, maybe Hynek Zohorna would be better.

Flek definitely, he showed he is WC quality easy. Even Tomasek maybe, he is playing good so far in the camp.

This year it looks like its gonna be a weaker WC, but damn I am still not confident about our lineup one bit Was hoping Pasta can save it, but yeah we cant count on him every year lol

Realisticly it seems to me like a qf exit, anything above that would be a nice surprise this year.

you are forgetting who is the coach. finnish coaches have that weird magic to make even weak squads work.

How many NHL players Finland had when they won in 2019 and 2022? Or Czech Rep. in 2010, after all? These tournaments have shown clearly that a short tournament isn't about the number of stars and NHL players.

Anyway, it has its positive aspects. We won't have to read the nonsense of Czech journalists who would only write about Pastrňák, as if the rest of the team didn't even exist. The team can be much more cohesive in that case.

My problem with Sobotka is that they put him in Top 6.

I feel like we can have Horak OR Sobotka but not both. Neither should be in Top 6 and role players!

If we get 3 NHL players after round 1 I'll be happy... ecstatic almost.lol But I'm banking on 1 to 0.

Zboril is actually one I'd really want!

Jiricek, Zboril, Kempny, Kundratek, Jordan (let's face it, he's coming), Knot and whoever they want us 7.

Then one of Pasta, Zacha, Palat or Chytil.

That's me being optimistic. Nedved gave us better rosters!

What drives me crazy is that we have a lot of very good players available and aren't even considering them. Vrana, Francouz and Mrazek come to mind.

Nothing is 100% but this is aging well...

If we announce tomorrow that Zboril and Chytil are joining then I will be thrilled!

Currently, no one has a stacked roster and our roster is as good as anyone else.. right now. I have high hopes for now.
