I have high hopes for Colton. Hopefully he puts it together. The rest need a slap. I'm actually surprised Tatar has 4 points. Haven't really noticed him at all

MacK can eat a bag of dicks. At 12.6 per, you're not allowed to blame chemistry. Go out there and play well. Start there and maybe the chemistry will follow or don't and blame something else.

Harsh, but true...at least last night. His inexplicable f***-up is what not only compromised their best player for the rest of the game, but also caused the GWG. The depth needs to learn to score, but our 28 year-old superstar 1C on a "Cup contender" currently has less goals than an 18 year-old rookie on a tanking team. Put up or shut the f*** up.

Hertl and Barbaronov for Johansen plus

San Jose will take MacFarland to the cleaners. And right so. He f***ed up last years deadline. And so far it looks like he f***ed up again.

Trading away players, you just brought in in the summer is a terrible look on any franchise.

But maybe we need to be more like Vegas. They dont care about this.

Deal with it: This is the team we are going into battle this year.
And better pray they get going again and find their "chemistry".

Agree with this from MacK. The lines don’t seem to be fitting that well right now.

I think that sorts itself out, but the finishing touch he mentioned is an actual concern for me.

The Vegas loss was one of the worst from this team in the last few years. Hopefully it wakes them up.

Bednar rode key guys pretty hard last year. One wonders if the might be dispirited by a “not again” vibe due to new guys not contributing much.

Hockey is a team sport and even the best players in the world can't carry a team all the time. This isn't basketball.

This is exactly the reason why depth is so f***ing important in hockey. When your best players can't do it, depth has to take over.

This is also why it's not OK to fill half the roster with 1M players.

Every team is built differently. Vegas leading scorer last year only had like 60 points, but they have good depth throughout their lineup and not many very expensive players.

Avs are built around expensive superstars which makes it hard to build depth around them. When we won the cup, MacK was only making 6 mill and that was the difference. Now they have to figure out how to surround MacK, Mikko and Cale with the right depth players which is gonna take time.

If Colton, Wood, RyJo, Tatar, Drouin experiment doesn’t workout, I’m not sure what the plan is gonna be since 3 of those 5 players are signed to multi year contracts

The million dollar players aren’t even the problem:

Ryjo - 4 million
Colton - 4 million
Tatar - 1.5 million
Wood - 2.5 million

That’s almost half of the supposed top 9. 11.5 million of unfettered dog shit.

I think the chemistry comment is a shot at the changes management made this offseason.

Since the emergence of JT Compher the team has had a glue player who can play both special teams and any position on any line.

Now he's been replaced by a guy who was on Tampa fourth line and they paid a first rounder for him.

Another absolute stinker for D Toews. He’s been lousy this season.

he's often at the bottom of these after each game. A poor game score is his usual perch lately.

I don't know what it is with players that sign long term retirement contracts with us but they don't start on the right foot, that's for sure:

Landy missing 2.5 seasons of the first 3.
Nuke: terrible, horrible year 1.
Mack: currently on year 1, not good so far
Toews took a step back last year and it looks like he's taking an additional one this year. His contract hasn't started yet.
