Toews should look at what happened to Calgary and how Kadri didn't make out as much like a bandit as he probably thought he would. Obviously I don't think that happens to him, but worth remembering sometimes taking less and staying put can be worth it.

If Toews is smart he'll go to UFA. For sure some team out there happily gives him 7 years and 63 million.

The Avs would have to pay him nearly 8M per to match that over 8 years and I doubt they want to go above 7.
