Get some retention and this makes a ton of sense.
Knows the team, NSH/Co trade history, can add depth while G is out, and possibly opens the option for someone like Byram to be moved for better offensive support.

That’s true, other than the top guys, no one did much against Seattle in the 1st round, but part of that is JTC not doing the job as a 2C. If he could produce as a 2C, Avs would have beaten the Kraken.

TB4 will always, always be a favorite player. But no. He wouldn’t address any needs of the team at present. I’m not sure how effective he is as a player anymore. He was never an elite skater and I think age and injuries have slowed him considerably.
It would make me sick to my stomach if it happened but one team that might want to look into his services is…Minnesota.
You are severely underrating his defense… his GA rate is 3rd best in the league and ahead of anybody on that list, by a lot. That list missing Forsling is a travesty too.
I also hate to admit it, but Faber too. He’s already elite defensively.
Yeah I don't think Barrie does much for this team at this point. If we add another RD it needs to be someone who can play tougher minutes and take some PK minutes. Barrie doesn't help either of those things.

I’m not against Tanev by any stretch, he’s lost a lot of mobility though and is only a bit better than Manson at this point.
