I don’t think you have to give up Byram for Lindholm. Girard, 1st and prospect will probably do. The only thing is Avs don’t like trading for expensive rentals. They can’t resign Lindholm, specially if Landy comes back

If I had to choose between them, I much rather have Byram than Girard specially when we saw how Girard struggled in the playoffs against a team like Vegas, then got hurt in a physical series against the Blues, and we saw how good Bo was in the cup run. It’s silly to give up on Byram based on 20 games half of it which Bo has played just fine this season

I’d like to at least hear we were in the running on Bear when the dust settles, snagging a decent 5/6 guy that can swing up into the second pairing if needed at ~$1mm isn’t the worst. Give JJ some rest, let him stay fresh to be a playoff warrior.

Bear, if healthy, is way better than Jones. And also a right-handed shot.

That said, I’m not sure Bear moves the needle enough at this point. I don’t see the Avs making any major moves unless they absolutely have to. Deadline is another story, but not at the quarter mark.

Yeah I know, that’s why all this Lindholm all other big name speculations are pointless because Avs are in no position to make big trades. They will make couple of small depth moves at the trade deadline like always.

He couldn't last year, but outside of 8, 29, 96 no one really brought it last playoffs. The year before was his best playoff performance by a huge margin, but in a reduced role from what the Wings will need from him. I got to give our little red head credit, he has been good so far this year.
