Omitting Carlsson proved to be weirdly prophetic.
Not sure I buy into your optimism on Lundy replacing him to start the season though.

I was actually kinda thinking Leo replace Lundy for the first 9 games, because this was more the full season roster. It looks like they may be keeping Leo, which is a bit of a surprise to me. Like someone already said maybe flip flop Strome and Lundy. I was kinda hoping Lundy had a breakout year, and Strome has done nothing to make me want him top 6.

I think a lot of it is that he’s the very definition of “almost”. He’s not bad, he’s just kinda like Lucy with the football. It LOOKS like something good/great should be occurring, then far too often it’s just a big AAUGH!
I just enjoy making use of the autocorrect name when it happens. I don’t think he’s super overpaid, but I do admit to concern as to where he’s gonna be in years 4 and 5.
Strome was, to put it mildly, horrendous last year. But I think all of the Ducks problems (poor offensive talent and awful coaching) exacerbated Strome's deficiencies, and he was put in a terrible position. What I hope doesn't happen is for him to get put in a similar position this year by demoting him to a third line to play a defensive role with weaker players. Strome is best in an offensive role with players to whom he can distribute the puck. I would love to see him on McTavish's wing this season.

Strome’s problem is that he is a decent center, but he can’t finish playing on the wing.
He should probably play 3rd line center which puts his contract a bit too steep. I doubt Strome ranks above Carlsson, Zegras, and McTavish. Some might place a healthy Lundestrom ahead of him.
I think PV signed him as steadying force up the middle playing Top 6. But he fails as a productive winger, so his steady center skills are of little value with the way things have played out.

Hopefully Killorn coming back "drops" Zegras to the McTavish line and Strome to the 3rd line.

I actually think Mac and Killorn play a similar game compared to Z-Carlsson-Terry. The Mac line will be the power line and the Big Carl line is the finesse line, essentially a lightning and thunder offensive lines.

Huge +1 here. They say he’s a leader in the clubhouse. Fought like 4x last year showing frustration and leadership and had 20 goals

Sounds about right. Zellweger and Luneau look very promising offensively, but they both need to work on defense some more before they're ready for prime time.
