And some give the guy no love. Admittedly, I’m a huge Fowler fan. It’s a shame, in my opinion, how under appreciated he is

Did Fowler look ok with Lyubushkin? I thought they looked decent but I was locked in on watching the kids line up front

Yup. But usually Fowler's partner has been at least somewhat capable defensively. I'm not sure Drysdale is that guy.
Fowler's best partner was the brief, but glorious, period when Simon Despres was over there. And then Despres got concussed by...someone on the Avalanche. Tyson Barrie? Gabriel Landeskog? I forget who it was. He was never the same. Fowler has cycled through a bunch of guys since then, but has seemed to do better with simple, stay-at-home types who can play solid positional hockey. Eric Gudbranson didn't look as terrible next to Fowler as he's looked the rest of his career.
I also am skeptical with Drysdale over there, but I think that makes more sense than Drysdale with a rookie. And I don't think we want Gudas over there full time - that's too many minutes for him.

Fowler looked the best with Gudbranson or at least just as good. It's clear the kind of partner he needs

Fowler is so underrated. Drysdale is the issue on that pairing. Fowler needs a compliment D to succeed and it doesn’t even have to be a Top 4 guy.
