I do find the team plays significantly better, and is more competitive, when there’s an actively aggressive forecheck, and that’s been missing in the non-Johnston games until McGinn picked his game up the last 2-3 games.

This roster could end up being perfect for Zegras. I think he’s the type of guy who could thrive not having to be “the guy.” Carlsson for sure and likely Mctavish I think will be guys we rely on a bit more.

I also think once MacT and Carlsson find their consistency in the line up that will trickle to Terry and Z as well. The 'pressure' isn't there for these guys to perform and carry the the team into the W column day-after-day. Honestly the future could be very bright for our forwards in the coming years.

Terry and Z haven't carried this team all this season. It's been Mac for most the season. Carlsson has been looking good off and on.

The future is gonna be amazing because we found two 1C's in big Mac and big Carl, with the possibility of Z becoming a 3C as we depart from Rico.

Let's not forget our blueliners who are cutting their teeth this year in the three rookies Minty, LaCombe, and Luneau.

Best guess is he stays up until WJC’s and then goes back to juniors after.
