I know I'm repeating myself here but this team could really use Zegras and Drysdale in the lineup right now and their stupid holdouts and missing the beginning of camp sure as hell did not help whatever injuries they ended up getting, and now it's affecting the entire team when they really need that extra jolt of talent
We're a very young team with a GM that is still learning the ropes. Verbeek might not let anymore prospects miss out on training camp by signing them before training camp.
With Drysdale being out of the line up, then we get a similar scenario from last season. There is a significant difference this year such that we have better talent and talent depth to absorb the Drysdale loss on the ice.
With Z being out and Terry ghosting in over half of the games, our offensive output should look dire compared to last season. Is it?

I'm pumped up to know we're missing Drysdale, Z, and half of Terry, but still be better than last season! Also, last year's team earned its first regulation win at game 20. This year's team has already 6 regulation wins.
If we take a step back or 10, then we can see the process is working. There are many little bits that do need ironing out, but that's small stuff in a big picture POV. I guess that's how I'm seeing this season, as a part of a bigger package. Seeing our blueline vastly improved with two rookies in the top-4 is gargantuan sigh of relief!
If there is to be a huge concern, then it should about our AHL program. The Gulls are on a 13 game losing streak, 0-10-3-0.
