Yeah. He’s definitely raw. Ducks fans already complaining about Mintyukov and Zelleweger struggling - I know people hate to believe it, but there is truth to developing culture, habits and a constant improvement attitude.

Some teams have a player who does this innately - Crosby, McKinnon, so the team follows. Some teams have coaches who extract it - Boston, Vegas.

But you need the base still - I think Flyers have done a good job of extracting - Jamie has more raw tools than any D-man, so it will be interesting to see how he develops.

The rest of the team they’ve pulled out what they can - and it’s obvious there isn’t enough of a base.

I think the Flyers left TK and Laughts to see if they can make it - even if it wasn’t a goal - failing now, I think they are gone this summer.
I think Pittsburgh and Colorado have a different definition of "Culture" than the Flyers do.

Would you guys do Konecny, our own 2024 1st rounder, a top fwd prospect, and one of our top goalie prospects to move up to grab Demidov? Feels too rich.. and moving up in the draft just doesn’t happen that way.. but..

Torts just said in the presser that the Flyers knew about/had talks about what to do with Hart in the summer. I think it was pretty obvious they knew, but still not sure admitting that was smart
All teams involved knew. The league knew. But until legal process started nothing could be done or the Players Association would have stepped in.

They could have simply not played him. The NHLPA can't do anything about that.

Danny B probably told him it was okay to spill the tea.

There was also that weird press conference before training camp asking if they expected Hart to show up and Briere was a bit noncommittal.

ASF said yesterday they were expecting charges to be announced in August/September. So that might be why.

He made it seem like they knew charges would be coming but didn’t know exactly when. But their plan was just to roll with Ersson, Sandstrom, &/or Peterson when charges dropped for Hart.

Interesting that the Flyers knew Cutter was out, knew they'd be losing Hart, and still behaved like they did and made no attempt to build for the future.

Holy shit. I don't think the ancient Greeks or even the Germans have any words for this level of delusional arrogance.

Granted I don’t think you draft need regardless but you passed up Perreault for Bonk as well to fit a need. You did this knowing Gauthier likely wasn’t going to play for a you.

But just given everything people around the team has said they likely passed on Perreault because they’re concerned about lack of size on the wing.
