I'm Away From My Desk
The fact that they haven’t told Torts to knock this off with a “partner” of the Flyers due to his podcast tells me the organization is behind it and encourages is.
Torts didn’t hold back with Larry Brooks. What he is doing now is tame by comparisonHe does this act wherever he goes. Fischler in NY for example. It’s a ploy to keep the attention on him and off of the players. It makes him look like the protector of the team. Kind of a stale trick. Fortunately for him the days of the press being sharp are over. Years ago the press would have scourged him for doing this type of stuff.
It’s BS. In the past Conlin and other true journalists would not have allowed this type of behavior by a coach/manager to go by unchallenged. If Torts can’t handle the heat of questions from the press, he should resign. PR is part of his job. Dealing with the ASFs of the press is part of his job. Acting like a four year old is unacceptable. Roberts should straighten him out on this. It’s bad for the brand of the Flyers and Comcast.Torts didn’t hold back with Larry Brooks. I don’t remember if the Rangers told Torts to knock it off or not. I didn’t have a issue with Torts saying something after he first heard what ASF said but that should of been it honestly. Go back to business as usual Unless this is a work between the 2 guys. It’s BS. Brooks at least went back & forth with Tortorella in person to his credit. ASF just takes it & lets Therien rant about it on his behalf on their podcast after the fact.
Unfortunately, you're probably rightAnthony SanFilippo is a man who probably gets off to shame and ridicule. He’s having a blast being verbally flagellated by Tortorella, I guarantee it.
You seem very upset by it. It'll be ok. ASF deserves every bit of itIt’s BS. Bill Conlin? Didn't think I'd ever see that name again used in a positive fashion,It’s BS. In his tenure here, Torts has demonstrated he will routinely just not do his job. He doesn't care, and no one in the organization questions it.It’s BS. Bold of you to presume, Charlie.
I wonder if practice on the PP increases his trade value…Look man Laughton is boiling.
