Crazy that 35 year old Giroux has been playing as well as 26 year old Konecny. And what do the 10th ranked Flyers really need for the next season and a half? A 1st line LW who can also run a top PP unit.

Giroux: 108 GP, 44 G (35 ES), 60 A (38 ES), 104 P (72 ES) - (0.96 P/GP)

Konecny: 90 GP, 47 G (34 ES), 39 A (28 ES), 86 P (59 ES) - (0.96 P/GP)

It's really not crazy considering Giroux was excellent when we discarded him

I put up a trade proposal: Giroux for Frost + Florida's 2024 1st. Right now that would be pick #22.

Foerster-Couturier-Konecny
Tippett-Giroux-Brink
Farabee-Poehling-Atkinson
Cates-Laughton-Hathaway
Claude is a UFA in 2025-26. We bring him back with McDavid and Michkov

Tippett McDavid Konecny
Gauthier Couturier Brink
Farabee Giroux Michkov
BigDickNickyD Frost Foerster

Draft These2
Sanheim Bonk
York Andrae

Hart Ersson Kolosov thosekids we draft

Infallible strategy. I'll take my check in the mail Clarkie.

Oh what if we don't draft a top end Dman??? Ok we sell off Hart for a Dman. Need two? Ok we sell Ersson.

Can't afford McDavid? take Draisaitl or IDK anyone who can play C.

GMing is so easy dudes

Briere has every chance to be worse than Fletcher.

We just haven’t had a reason to see it yet.

He’s said to have been behind the Deslauriers deal. The reported Sanheim/Krug scenario, and not selling high on Laughton.

Even if we take his biggest flaw out of the picture of refusing to fire ANYONE, he’s arguably worse than Chuck.

Just give him time to show it.

Of course, no GM runs the Flyers. That’s clear as hell. Its collaboration for all of those incompetent rats.
At absolute worst Briere can be equally as bad, but so far he’s slightly better. Nobody could be worse than Fletcher.

Getting rid of Provorov, Hayes, and DeAngelo is not impressive or praiseworthy, but all those trades are better than anything Fletcher did.

Jones has been talking about getting a first pair defender. If you had to choose, which defenseman would you sign long term, UFA Noah Hanifan or Walker? Hanifan is a lefty while Walker is a righty. Right now, if you can believe that Walker's play is sustainable, I'd lean towards extending him.

The Flyers do few things right, but their newfound ability to acquire high end young goalies is a shining beacon of excellence.

Hanifin. Pair him with Sanheim and that might be a pretty good first pair while they try and draft a future #1 defenseman while competing for a wild card.
