The Flyers must think pretty highly of Zamula since he made the team over Cam York last season. And he's always had top 4 upside.

It's very funny that you are claiming Zamula is totally different case when there are quotes from Torts today saying how Brink will get sent down in a hurry if they don't like how he handles the NHL.

NAK and Lindblom were also waived today.

Florida waived Denisenko #15 pick in the 2018 draft.

Maybe, but some better/more interesting players got waived today.
I mean a top player like NAK is out there for the picking!
Not saying there wasn't better players available, but I'd be very surprised if he clears, he's shown flashes of top 6 ability, it's likely a team takes a flier on him

For a short cameo three years ago. Injuries have sapped some of his skating burst.

Last season he averaged 1.12 pp/60 at 5x5, playing with Hayes, Cates and Frost at center. Some of this was puck luck, some of this was inability to finish.

The combination of lack of production and durability issues will limit his suitors.

He's best suited to a part-time role as a 13th forward at this point in his career, even in a 4th line role, you have to wonder if he can last a season.

My favourite part of news that devastates the contrarian narratives being posted is the ~40 minutes of silence following the breaking news where said contrarians have to sit and contemplate how they are going to polish this specific turd. Then they come in and post something unhinged and divorced from reality even by their standards, usually involving moving goal posts, saying that bad thing is actually a good thing, deflecting by criticizing something else (Hextall), that we shouldn't care about the bad thing, or straight up pretending they didn't say the thing that is now bad.

It's an absolute master class in how to attempt to gaslight an entire forum at once.

More Carolina than Islanders.

They keep adding team speed, TK, Frost, Tippett, Poehling, Atkinson, Laughton.
Deslauriers is their only "slow" forward, and of course, Couts.
The defense has one fast player in Sanheim, but York, Walker, Andrae and Zamula are mobile.
In fact, their biggest weakness is the lack of size on the back end.

Big slow physical teams are a thing of the past, but a fast, aggressive forecheck hasn't gone out of style.
Please tell me you had to pause typing this frequently to laugh.

They aren't in the same universe as Carolina.

This is like a Broncos fan proclaiming they are on a Chiefs trajectory because they have a mobile QB and Trautman is in fact a TE.

I'm sure they offered him around the league and got no takers.
People were upset when Laczynski got waived, notice he didn't get claimed.

The fact that no team made a minimal offer for Allison says he's seen as a run of the mill 4th line forward and nothing more around the league.

Heck, Ottawa gave MacEwen a 3 year deal (at minimum wage, but still three guaranteed seasons).

They did not offer him around the league.

Speaking of Cates and Frost, that 1.12 figure for Allison is much closer to Cates’ 1.37, than Cates 1.37 is to Frost’s 2.02. Funny how 5on5 production matters to you except for when it doesn’t.

I'd say the team's concerted effort to destroy his game so he can fit their idea of a 4th line role had more to do with it

Denisenko on waivers is interesting. The kid has some skill and breathing room for player development. Only an idiot will point out lack of production in his VERY small NHL sample. I know someone will. Denisenko plays a game that the flyers are looking for. I mean he has some sandpaper, but he’s a skill first type player. He’s young and can be explosive. A team in the flyers position cannot possibly see someone like that, only net positive value add, and be like nah.

I’ve already stopped following the team pretty much, but the flyers made a roster move for Zack McEwen (or however you spell it) last year and it was a failure. I want to see their process for seeing some like Denisenko without having to give up assets to get him.
