Why are they waiting to waive Sandstrom? No great loss in the unlikely event he was claimed.

Hart can't be moved until the NHL releases it's report on the incident.
that andy and romo guy was confident he knew the final names on the report, and if the podcast guy has the names im sure other industry people have the names too, so if hart isnt one of the guys in trouble the only thing stopping a team right now is public perception, not saying its likely he'll be moved but even boston tried to sneak that mitchell kid in

I don't really want to move Hart even though I know he makes us better when we should be as bad as we can be.

As long as the assault case is under wraps all of the players around it are spinning in the breeze. Those indicted are probably going to be barred from the NHL. Even those that are not but we’re on the periphery of the event are going to have a difficult time finding teams that will take them. Like with baseball’s Trevor Bauer, which club wants to deal with the fan reactions to having him around.
If Hart is cleared, he’s an asset for the Flyers. If he was even tangentially involved, he’s a goner. It’s a tough spot for him and the club.

Can Bauer come back to MLB now he has video proof the whole thing was a stitch up?

He still did what he did which was outside of normal behavior. Can a franchise sign him without alienating a size of its fan base? Is any organization going to trust that he won’t go bizarro again and that the next time it would stick? Those are big gambles to take with any player whose behavior has gone rogue. See Odubel Herrera

Didn’t Odubel hit his girlfriend?

What was confirmed Bauer did physically? It’s been awhile but I don’t remember the details of all this and link didn’t mention it

Anyone good at meme’s? Kind of have a funny idea - basically “ But Deslauriers protects the kids!!!” And then the next part is like WTF - where are all the kids? And just this group of players once Brink and Emil are gone
Best I could do:

I think Andrae and Brink will start the season in LHV.

Andrae has flashed top 4 talent, but also makes a lot of mistakes right now, b/c I think he hasn't adjusted to NA rinks, that's not uncommon in Swedish players, especially younger ones. Sometimes he seems to be surprised how fast forwards get on him. A few months playing 25 a night in LHV, including PP and PK and he'll come up and start. Didn't look like playing his off side bothered him, so they might use him on both sides in LHV.

Same with Brink, they might play him on the left side, he didn't look uncomfortable there, and it would make it easier to win a job this year in the top nine at some point. Again, play a lot minutes, be a fixture on the PP, get more comfortable with the pro game and he'll be up by spring.

I think they may shop Laughton soon. Briere may have wanted to wait to see some other players this fall, would Couts hold up (rusty but no sign of ill effects from his back), how do Poehling and Hathaway look on the PK, how close to NHL ready were Foerster and Brink. With affirmative answers to these questions, he's now expendable. I think Poehling can fill his 4C/PK role, and Brink if he gets some time at LW in LHV could step in at 3LW.

Poehling is as billed, fast, long, fast bottom six center with limited offensive skills but more than enough for 4C and well suited to the PK.
