Every excuse possible to not try things with young players at the NHL level.

Maybe I’ve been completely wrong here for years and with the fanbase, it’s actually a fear of breaking the hermetic seal on these guys. Some of them are going to fail completely. It’s ok. At least you gave yourself a chance to succeed and you learned something.

Which 1st round picks on Hawks being blocked ?

They should have Bedard & Reichel in their lineup. That’s by far & away their best prospects. But they don’t really have much intriguing secondary prospects at the pro level again this year. Korchinski, Nazar, Moore, Rinzel, etc. are all slated to be playing in juniors or college this year.

i wonder why theres not more 20 year olds playing in the NFL, all that youthful energy is surely more valuable than all those old guys whove been worn down from all that extra strength and conditioning over years of professional training, all that extra muscle probably makes them slow. they should get rid of weight classes in combat sports too, it doesnt mean anything, its just what they tell fans on twitter.

So are you saying that there should be age classes instead of weight classes in combat sports?

There's so much wrong with this on so many levels I don't even know where to begin.

Yeah, our second tier prospects shoiuld be given jobs, b/c we'd be a playoff team if we did so!

Geez, the reason we're rebuilding if the Hextall picks for the most part didn't pan out - Rubtsov is 3C and Ginning is a top 4 D-man? Guess not.

So what's the rush?

There are players in this system that are being wasted. Attard is 24 and a half years old and was a top pair guy at LHV last season. He has some defensive deficiencies but his offensive assets are ignored so he’ll be stuck in the minors until he’s 25 or 26 with this BS meme that it takes time to develop defensemen; especially tall guys. It’s the same crap with Frost.
The organization emphasizes a player’s negatives instead of exploiting their positives. The Flyers are just operating off of a poor base. It’s permeated the franchise for decades.

Definitely was not top pair guy.
Was a liability in his end and still is
All he does is shoot the puck

The Flyers slow-rolled every prospect they could possibly justify under two regimes and it didn’t work either time. Therefore it doesn’t work. Q.E.D.

Maybe the prospects simply weren't very good?
TK (19), Provorov (19), Patrick (19), Sanheim (21), Farabee (19), York (21).

Seems they slow-rolled the less talented prospects. The good players start at a fairly young age.
It would also help if they stayed healthy, Frost missed a season, Allison dinged a couple years, and so on. If Brink is healthy last year, he's probably already set up to start this year.
