No, it's private unless you were already following:Just checked again right now. Not private and still has Flyers pics up. No mention of Flyers in his bio though.
I always thought the leader of the hockey mafia was Lou LamsThe Flyers upper echelon is basically the hockey mafia, you’re in til you’re dead
That’s what Clarke wants you to think.I always thought the leader of the hockey mafia was Lou Lams
I'm smart enough to know I'm dumb.
He changed his profile pic a few weeks ago from a Flyers pic to whatever that is which caught my attention. Now this. Something in the air.
That's Darth Vader. A bit foreboding there Carter, no?He changed his profile week a few weeks ago from a Flyers pic to whatever that is which caught my attention. Now this. Something in the air.
Maybe he's going into acting? That's Darth Vader. A bit foreboding there Carter, no?
The difference is that cap room has been valued higher this summer (the lack of markets for veteran offensive players even with retention).A timeline of events:

June 22nd, 2023
September 7th, 2023
People change their minds. We should allow for this. But read the specific phrasing and draw your own conclusions.

Talking to yourself is fine as long as you don't engage in conspiracy theories - unfortunately, people seem to have fallen prey to that temptation on a regular basis these days, both on and off the board."If You Love Chess, Which I Do, But You Don't Have Anybody To Play Against, Which I Don't, Then Sometimes, You Just Gotta Play Yourself." - @deadhead

Top draft picks seem to have risen in value (this may reflect more efficient drafting, has anyone done a study over time? With the increase in video availability, you'd expect teams to make fewer mistakes), especially 1sty rd picks.
A late first and late 3rd was my ceiling for Laughton, a 2nd just sounds like an overpay without a significant salary dump.
St Louis is still on the edge ($300K), even after dumping ROR, Tarasenko and Barebashev (and adding Vrana) at the TDL.
Not sure what their strategy is, they added a bunch of picks in the 2023 draft, but are stuck with a veteran core:
B Schenn (32) 5x$6.5
Saad (30) 3x$4.5
Hayes (31) 3x$3.6M
Faulk (31) 4x$6.5
Krug (32) 4x$6.5
Parakyko (30) 7x$6.5
Leddy (32) 3x$4.0
1 = 1I don't believe that an intelligent person thinks a 1st and a future 2nd is materially different than a 1st and a 3rd. Future picks are always worth slightly less.
If you want to change your valuation based on market fluctuations, by all means. Whether I agree or not is irrelevant.

Oh dear.
