Our 90's jerseys are nice, but I'm a bit sick of the league-wide nostalgia for all things 90's. The Coyotes and Jets are the worst offenders.

Our current set is great, and will look even better with the classic orange.
I can't wait for the 90's nostalgia to end. Most teams had their worst jerseys in the 90's.

90's fashion was terrible. Everything was oversized, weird color schemes, neon everywhere. Just awful.

The Flyers have destroyed the concept of nostalgia for me. Destroy the past. Burn it. Rage forward into a new dawn, a splendid future where the old power structures are destroyed and we the workers reign supreme. The ascendent Tulskys, Zitos, and Coopers of the hockey world. Not the decrepit and decadent cronies. Their stranglehold on the means of hockey production must be ripped apart!

I hated the trend to every team trying black jerseys. Philly and Buffalo have great normal colors, and their black shirts were so boring. And they looked especially bad when we played NJ. Just a nasty hodgepodge of black and white with very little contrast.

I liked our goth jerseys since black is actually a team color. Disliked anyone without black as a color wearing it. White out jerseys in college football enrage me.

LeClair was a “center” too.

Gauthier is a wing. And he’s going to be a good one.

John could blast hard shots from the perimeter (Gauthier checks that box), but he was also an immoveable boulder in the slot and at the crease and was a fantastic power forward. Gauthier's game currently lacks that almost completely. Those hopes presently look unachievable. Of course, he could learn, but I wouldn't jump to those heights yet

You are right. But man, I see it. Coming down that wing. It wasn’t a forced reaction. It just happened.

Boycott the team, stop watching. Easy and simple.
Egads…that means I’d be watching Bonanza, Dobie Gillis, and My Three Sons re-runs until doomsday… I don’t think so, no offense to Fred Macmurray or Tuesday Weld…..

The spirit of Beast Rabban?

No. The spirit of Feyd.

Rabban was depicted as dumb via the Baron's internal monologue (because he was ugly, evidently), but in the end he was the only one who started figuring out what the Fremen threat really was. He was smart.

The Baron's opinion of Feyd was that he was smart and capable because he was a dreamboat, but in reality he was a dumbass ditz who kept f***ing up, wasn't diligent, and missed details.

I have no problem with Flahr running the draft, it's too early to know, but so far the last four years look better (on a per draft pick basis) than Hextall's five years in terms of drafting. Sure you can always improve, but it's not a disaster area. One whiff out of (6) 1st and 2nd rd picks.

Pro scouting on the other hand, when you look at Colorado trading for RFAs, Zito finding talent off the waiver wire and low level trades, and Carolina signing a bunch of useful veterans on low cost deals - over the last decade, when have the Flyers executed any of these strategies successfully? After 3 GMs, you start to think NHL talent evaluation may be the problem.

Flahr’s drafting is the same line of logic as Fletcher’s one mistake.

His picks aren’t as good as you’re making them out to be (going back to Minnesota), and you’re not even defining what makes up a successful pick. His methods of drafting are heavily archetype/fit influenced too, and frankly, I’ve never read one insightful comment from him. Only one of these picks is even in the NHL, before we go claiming success, and he looks like the safe cromulent 2nd pair guy he was projected to be. To speak nothing of the opportunity cost with that one. Is taking the highest floor players, and them reaching that floor, enough?

They’ve had 6 top 2 round picks in 4 years. It’s a Fletcher staple. That part needs to be emphasized, not buried. Flahr wasn’t the head of scouting for Fletcher’s managerial career. He was the AGM. He’s the one who determined the 2020 draft was bad and Ristolainen preferable. He’s still the AGM.
