I don’t think this is a bad suggestion. I just wonder if he would be willing to come here. I believe he has a full NMC. So if he has a choice between “contenders” I doubt Boston would be his top choice.
I do think he can still play though.

Edmundson would be a solid pickup, big nasty dman who is built for the playoffs, especially if the Bruins get to play teams like Florida or TB. He is easily an upgrade on Forbert.

Wow finally gave a name for who he wanted! I wouldn’t mind it, I also wouldn’t give up anything for him really as he’s only averaging 23 games played a season the last 3 years.

Sounds like an awful idea given his production decreasing before his extension even kicks in. Not gonna pay 6.5 mill for a goon in 2 years. Plus his style doesn’t usually age gracefully

Yup, besides being an NHL regular for the past 7 years, having a Stanley Cup ring, going to another final and being assistant captain on that team and being a beast in the playoffs, same guy
I would still take Middleton and Lauzon over him but there is nothing wrong with Joel Edmundson here as a bottom pair D, better than Grizz, Forbort or Shattenkirk.

Chychrun should be looked into. Loherei & 2nd/Merkulov. Thinking he would look like Orlov did over here. (But not the Carolina Orlov)And he is only 2 years older than Loherei.

The aging I agree with, in three years he is probably an overpaid third liner, but with leadership skills and still tough/dirty. Arizona situation should be resolved in a couple years (regardless of Bettman being Bettman) and with the World Cup of hockey cap will continue to increase. He should give them two very good playoff runs and fills a huge void at forward on this team. Washington would never move Wilson anyway.

I know they do that from time to time, but do you know why they'd opt to hold it at the Garden?
I doubt that, Edmundson hits hard, those Florida forwards have got used to free runs at Bruins defensemen with the exception of McAvoy. In the corners where Florida dominated the likes of Gryz, Edmundson is an absolute beast.
