Love this idea too. But are the Predators moving on from him?
They moved on from Jeannot and Kunin and a lot of those types already. They paid the center Sissions, the rest is a revolving door even when they're not near the bottom 5.
He’s perfect. Could even put him with Debrusk and Poitras on the third line and shouldn’t cost as much as other targets.

Frederic-Zacha-Pasta
Marchand-Coyle-JVR
Trenin-Poitras-Debrusk
Lauko-Beecher-Geekie

A little size and/or toughness on every line. Shuffle in game as needed.
He can play anywhere. Would work with Coyle and JVR. Could do the dirty work on a line with skill players and not be a drag offensively. Would be best with whoever is matched up with the other team's top line.

It’s interesting that you dismiss someone with a simple difference of opinion as hysterical lol
I'm not dismissing a difference of opinion. I just had a difference of opinion with MarchandNoseKnows and made my arguments and he made his and it is what it is.

Fenian is a great poster but I think what he said is a pretty big exaggeration. The entire team was intimidated by Nick Cousins? When you get so wound up you make big exaggerations.... well that's literally the definition of hysterical.

Another "free option" to add some part-time toughness could be Wayne Simmonds. He's unsigned, and was always physical, always willing to jump guys after big hits. He beat Tom Wilson, Austin Watson, Pat Maroon, fought Foligno and Greer last season...

I expect everyone will say he's cooked... maybe he is I don't know, I didn't really key on him when we played Toronto last year, but he seems well liked by his teammates, he hits, he sticks up for people and he's free.

Love a good out of the box type suggestion but Simmonds is slow and I mean SLOW. Unfortunately he is cooked but if he could turn back the clocks a couple of years he’d be the exact type of fit we’re looking for

I agree with the need for getting some more physicality in the lineup, however you reap what you sow - McAvoy put a target on himself and the team with that hit he threw in their last meeting, so I'm not sure you can call it a lack of response as much as taking their lumps for the dirty play.
Florida, was right to go after McAvoy, and they should have, but that does not mean the Bruins should have said we are sorry go ahead get even. McAvoy gets run at and is lost for some time, could just about end the season, but we were polite about it. Screw that, Bruins have some good hockey players on this team and they should go out there and get slammed every night when their opponent does not need to worry about receiving pay back. I am not saying they need a brawler and that is all he can do, the game as changed too much to waste a roster spot, but you need to have that element on your roster. You how it goes " Peace through strength"

He’s cooked, loved the player in his prime though.

That's a bunch of BS, about Florida going after Charlie!
No more cheap shots to anyone, there is too much of that crap going on, it has to stop, the NHL needs to clean that shit up!
Also no player deserves to be cross checked around the face or head, no matter the situation, it's a bunch of crap!

Had no problem with how the McAvoy situation was handled. Panthers ran him, Charlie took his lumps and when he had enough, he drop the mitts and challenged the last offender. End of conflict. Guys that commit suspendable offenses can usually handle themselves, don't need protection from teammates.

I don't know what game you were watching but they did go after McAvoy, and I did not say they were wrong to do so, just does not mean they should be allowed to do so.

Zach Hyman!!!

6 '1' 206. Plays heavy, physical, and skilled. Year 3 of 7 year contract. Always produces. Already 10 goals and 7 helpers on a brutal team. Plays both ends of the rink. PK and PP player. Versatile.

I would absolutely have loved added him 5 years ago. He isn’t fast enough any more.

I would love to add Hyman. I wanted him the year Edmonton signed him.

On a brutal team, but plays with McDavid and Draisaitl, most goals scored in a season before Edmonton was 21 with the Maple Leafs. easy pass, age and contract.

They need guys like him almost as badly as they need a goalie. After McDrai, Kane, RNH and Hyman they are pretty grim offensively.

I'm not saying they have to sit and take it, but if you throw a headshot worthy of a 4 game suspension you have to expect some retribution is coming, so that's why I'm not surprised they targeted him and some other guys a bit. If you throw shots like that then you need to take your lumps and move on, as Mac did, and try not to keep escalating it further and further.
