Pitre added a goal. Dionicio somehow doesn't have a point even though Saginaw is up 10-3. That Saginaw team is really stacked now that they've added Donovan and Beck.

EDIT: Pitre was also named captain of Flint, which I assume they decided to do after the OHL trade deadline passed with him still on the team.

It's tough to make sense of Flint's handling of the trade deadline. They're a below .500 club who sold off two of their best veteran players, only to turn around and flip picks for some other veteran help. Seems they couldn't quite commit to a direction.

When I saw Hayes and Giroux moved, I thought it was a safe assumption they were in full sell mode. Pitre would have been a big piece at the trade deadline, playoff style guy.

Hvidston is going to be the shock breakout player next year in SD. He’s so good. Sucks he lost so much time to injury. Easily would have had 40-60 season

Yeah, it's too bad he got injured. Hvidston took off like a rocket to start the season, scoring 6g + 5a in 7 games, or 1.57 ppg rate! Since his return, his scoring has dipped into 1.20 range and held steady. Before his injury, I was hoping he might get a call-up to join the WJC team.

Hvidston already made his mark in SD Gulls history by being its youngest goal scorer last year, beating out the previous youngest Gull scorer McTavish.

What’s going on with Perbix? I mean I already gave up on him being an NHLer a long time ago but 1 point in 17 games for Northern Michigan is crazy

5+4 in his last 5 games
6+10 in his last 10 games

Looks like he is up there again.

I really hope we sign Moore and Colangelo. The Drysdale trade may have made it more appealing for Moore to sign.

We have an extra year to sign RD Moore if both Verbeek and Moore believe he needs an extra year in college due to his injury/injuries he's had this season. But it would be much safer to get him signed this year and see if McIlvane can help develop his offense in the AHL.
