Bad replay package

If Colangelo keeps this up, then he might entice the Verbeek to offer him an ELC. Since Colangelo is a senior, he could also go the FA route. Anaheim is lacking in scoring forwards, especially right shooting ones and that potential path to the NHL could be a huge draw for Colangelo.

At the Dev Camp, Colangelo was one of the players that stood out.

Reminder, Colangelo is a 6'2 and 209 RW, who will be 22 years old later this December. Physically, he'll be ahead of most prospects going pro next season.

Prospect Update, Dec 11: NCAA

Dec 11, NCAA.png

- Colangelo: 3g + 2a in two games

Verbeek has drafted only one NCAA prospect in the past two drafts, a total of 17 draft picks. The lone NCAA selection is Callow in the 5th round of the 2022 draft. It's odd to want to close off the NCAA prospects. Here are the past three drafts under Murray, identifying NCAA bound draftees.

2021 Draft
- Rd 6 C Kukkonen

2020 Draft
- Rd 2 RW Colangelo
- Rd 3 RD Moore
- Rd 7 C Bowen (retired from hockey)

2019 Draft
- Rd 2 LD/RD LaCombe
- Rd 4 LD Thrun
- Rd 5 C Janicke (Ducks no longer own his rights)
- Rd 6 RD Francis

I suppose the lack of signing control has disturbed Verbeek with Thrun not wanting to sign as a Duck. Maybe that was a factor is not drafting NCAA bound RW Snuggerud and opted for Gaucher instead.
