Terrance has huge potential, the guy is 100% a first round pick (and probably top 20) if he wasn't playing on an offensively desolate Erie team.

Scoring 30 goals as a 17 year old, which was nearly double the second highest scorer on that Erie team is nuts.

- Terrance is still "en fuego" and improved his +/- rating from -3 rating last week to +2 rating this wekk.

- Rodwin aka "Hot Rod" breaks through to a point-per-game D-prospect. We had an overabundance of D-prospects scoring a ppg rate last year. It's good to see one D-prospect is carrying the tradition.

- Sidorov has incrementally cooled down, but still over a ppg rate.

- Harvard only played on game this past weekend. The game went 1-1 into OT, with Harvard winning the shootout in the 18th round.

- It's a pretty uneventful weekend, especially with Colangelo not playing.

Note: Under Verbeek, Anaheim has drafted only one collegiate prospect in the past two drafts: Michael Callow, in the 5th round of the 2022 draft. Maybe Thrun really is making Verbeek stay away from college players. If Verbeek is able to sign RD Moore, then maybe that might change perspectives... if Moore is worthy enough to be signed.

Prospect Update, Oct 30th: Europe and NHL

Europe, Oct 30.png

- Both goalies have improved their GAA's.
Buteyets: from 2.39 to 2.33
Clara: from 2.50 to 2.18

NHL, Oct 30.png

- Minchy has skyrocketed to the top-2 in rookie scoring after tonight's game, tied with Brink and L. Hughes!

- LD LaCombe is now playing on his off-side on the top line with LD Fowler. Fortunately for the Ducks, LaCombe has been playing on his off-side (RD) for all four years in college. In 9 games, LaCombe's ATOI is 19:43. His 3 points is tied with fellow Ducks rookie Carlsson, ranking 13th overall in scoring.

- Carlsson is on Strength Mgmt program for the next two months. We really don't know the schedule of when he plays or sits, which makes the Strength Mgmt program an oddly fluid schedule.

- Luneau has not played since Oct 21st. He was a replacement when Drysdale fell to injury for two games. Then Vaaks took Luneau's spot for a couple of games at the top pairing. Now, LaCombe currently fills that spot. We have not concrete idea what is in store for young Luneau.

- Groulx has not played since Oct 24th, missing the past three games. He's 50% in the faceoff dot, winning 33 out of 66 attempts.

Prospect Update, Oct 30th: AHL and ECHL

AHL ECHL, Oct 30.png

- LW Regenda is putting on a show in the AHL. He's added 3 more points this past week.

- D Zellweger's gone cold offensively in the past two games.

- G Clang is looking good! With Gibson's injury tonight, Clang might have an outside chance of being called up. Stalock might have the inside track due to his NHL experience.

The Gulls aren't looking great. San Diego is on a 4-game losing streak. F De Leo will be out until December. They also lost D Hagg to a call-up on the Ducks four game road trip. When players come off the IR, then the Ducks will have to send player(s) down. That would mean more infusion of talent for the Gulls.

I was just reading on the main boards that Clara has outplayed former NHL goalie Lindback to take the starters role for Brynas. That's rather impressive for a 19 year old goalie.

We take for granted the history of our goaltenders. So many teams are constantly looking for goalies, and I can't remember the last time we really had a problem. It has to be pre Giggy, so like 2000?
I've said this before, but the Ducks have been incredibly blessed. Even beyond the #1 guys we have had, we have had journeymen come in here and look way better then they did anywhere else in their career, like Gerber, Fasth, Stolarz, etc.

Hebert
Giggy
Bryz
Hiller
Andersen
Gibby
Dostal

Compare that to other teams that have had that many #1s in the last 10 years lol.

Id say when we had to go into the playoffs with Dan Ellis and Ray Emery was a rough time. Though Hiller was there that year. I think he got injured for the season.

Madden sucks at drafting forwards though. :sarcasm:

Kinda random that they are almost all different nationalities.

Hebert - American
Giggy - Canadian
Bryz - Russian
Hiller - Swiss
Andersen - Dane
Gibby - American
Dostal - Czech

Only Gibby and Hebert were both American. No Swedes or Finns thus far. Anaheim drafted Clara last summer, would be fun to add Italian to that list.
