I don't see any of the young forwards ready to play full time top 9 roles next year, so Saad could be useful if there is anything in the tank. Wouldn't be a bad gamble as you can always waive him again if he's completely cooked.
Best case scenario is you tap into the player he was last year and deal him at 50% retention next deadline for a pick. Worst case, he's cooked and you buy him out this summer for minimal 2026-27 pain.
