EP Rinkside 2023 NHL Prospect Pool Rankings: No. 4-ranked Philadelphia Flyers

They should have taken into consideration the head coach, development/player coaches and the front office. If they did, they know it would be bottom 5. "Wasted Potential" is the middle name for Flyers Prospects.

And (2) 1sts, (2) 2nds, (2) 6ths in 2024 BEFORE they make any TDL trades or moves before the draft.

I don't expect a tear down, but I hope Briere learned from Hextall's failure to make any moves between TDL 2014 and trading Schenn in the summer of 2017. The next two years he needs to continue to accumulate young assets to build around Michkov, Gauthier and the young goalies.

Good. Brown is certainly AHL quality, whether his very good senior season means he's a late bloomer with NHL potential remains to be seen, but he has speed and a compact body which allows him to compensate for his lack of height. LHV is top heavy at C/RW so he'll help balance a line.

Flyers rookie camp invite Matt Brown has signed a two-year deal with their AHL affiliate in Lehigh Valley, reports PHLY Sports’ Charlie O’Connor. O’Connor reporteda few days ago that the Flyers were potentially considering an entry-level contract for Brown after a standout performance during rookie camp.

AHL PTO Tryout converts to AHL Contract.

At first I figured he was another try-harder grinder based on the name alone. Turns out he's a 5'9 skilled player that had a good season for Boston U.

Being honest, I watched the 3rd period of the 1st prospects game vs NYR and Matt Brown was one of the most noticeable players. Very fast, on the puck, skilled. Only rookies, and he’s older, but he looked as good as any of the other assembled smurfs: Tuomaala, Ciernik, Gendron, Desnoyers, Fauchon, Barkey and Brink. Ciernik was good too. Avon was was hurt.

Was Tuomaala good, bad or decent? I missed the preseason games.
Good. Fast and physical, accepting the role of a forechecker and making things happen.
Think mini-Tippett, shorter but solid squat body and just as fast.
