It is all relative… for Landy and Nuke (and Toews) I get the disregard of the last season. For MacK, probably not.Again I don't disagree but that was not the point. I was responding to a post saying one contract = the other with no discount. The same amount of money does not mean there isn't a discount.
Yes they should be interested in any improvements on their D core. Regardless of "fit". Most Canucks fans on this site will say no thoughWould Vancouver be interested in Girard at all?
Hoo boy here we go
I'll give you Landy. It is all relative… for Landy and Nuke (and Toews) I get the disregard of the last season. For MacK, probably not.
Nuke has had more injury issues in his career, plays a more bruising style, and isn’t as talented… I’d argue at the signing, Nuke was more risky for the 8th year than Landy.I'll give you Landy.
Agree to disagree. Let's see in 7 years......if I'm still around.Nuke has had more injury issues in his career, plays a more bruising style, and isn’t as talented… I’d argue at the signing, Nuke was more risky for the 8th year than Landy.
I beg your pardon.Kerfoot?
I beg your pardon.
Hayton would be a nice addition. My bad. I think he's a UFA so the Avs won't even need to go the trade route!
On a serious note, how do we feel about Hayton?
Can't wait. Ignore the Vegas part.
Didn’t Nylander play center before?
He is smooth as f***, but doesn’t battle enough.Nylander can play center… not sure if you can win with him in a major role. He can make some absurd plays and is crazy talented… his style means he will make some very egregious mistakes at the worst times.
We have the wingers to make up for itHe is smooth as f***, but doesn’t battle enough.
He played a major part in the Duchene trade, what makes you think he didn’t play a part in other key trades? You think that was purely Sakic? There are definitely some sideshow organizations going to move some remarkable players this offseason but unfortunately CMac has done nothing to prove he’s capable of prying one for the Avs. Hope that changes but man I’m down on that guy as GM.
I don’t think it was purely Sakic, but I think Sakic was certainly the closer. He made things happen. Through one season as GM Cmac hasn’t. Both EJ and Mackinnon have spoken out on a certain something happening at the deadline that didn’t come to fruition. He played a major part in the Duchene trade, what makes you think he didn’t play a part in other key trades?
