Will be interesting to see what we do with an extra 7mil. I’ll throw up if we use any of it on JTC.
Dude is living the dream... paid well to live in the land of Octoberfest.Free Redmond
Bring back ROR is the new bring back Stastny.

I used to think he might come back, but that guy wants nothing to do with Colorado imo.
He bleeds blue now and not Toronto blue, that nasty blue from St. Louis. The burgundy no longer runs through him.
I wouldn't mind ROR as our 2C. But, I agree with Avs_19 about ROR not taking a discount of any kind. He will want his $$$$$ no matter if he's past his prime/on the decline or not. They'd still be playing right now had they listened to us.
Bring back O'Reilly......on a cheap deal, which he won't accept!
Jost is a RFA… which means that site already isn’t ideal.Best site for the upcoming UFA's, you can filter by position and stuff:

Our former kid line is all UFA this year! Kerfoot, Jost and JTC!
You don’t like summer weather?!Can we just fast forward to October. I can’t wait to see what this team looks like next season. It’s either gonna be good, or really bad

Planning for next year is hard without knowing the Nuke situation.
If he comes back and we trade Girard (5M AAV) for Scheifele (6.1M AAV) then we can easily have a true cup contender team next year. We can bring back eRod and fill the other holes in the lineup fairly easily with Landy's cap hit.
If Nuke doesn't come back or we just don't know then management might not want to go the rental route (as seen this year at the deadline) and things get complicated.
Well if he's in rehab, which is more than likely where he is, they have no way to know.I suspect the Avs already know on Nichushkin, they’re just not saying anything.

Landeskog’s situation was the murkier one to deal with. Know that they know he’s done for next season, it should give them cap clarity.
I’ll be curious to see if they move a defenceman. They may not anymore because they don’t necessarily need to.
I wouldn’t mind seeing them do it though, because I think it offers up even more cap flexibility to improve the forward group.
It allows the Avs to move that salary around… but dollar for dollar it is tough to replace the impact.Honestly they still need to move a Dman realistically.
Sure Landy being on LTRI does technically free up $7M in space... But we also lose a 1st line winger out of it that now needs to be replaced as well. So it doesn't really add much more flexibility.
