Sounds like it was supposed to be Hayes, DeAngelo, Sanheim, and Laughton to Stl for Krug and whatever else (the total return from Stl. wasn’t mentioned), but has been reduced to Hayes (50% retained) + Sanheim for Krug and a 1st round pick. Krug evoked his NTC and now the deal is in limbo.
No. They still have Jordan BinningtonDoes this make the Blues a threat in the Central if they make the deal work?
I am happy with the RyJo trade. I think it is a relatively good risk/reward gamble. The concern I have is that our top-6 is getting slower. Hopefully if the Avs pick up another top-6 FWD that player will also be fast.
I wouldn't call him a top 6 forward more of a middle six forward on a good dayI'm thinking duclair might be a good fit.
Depending on the cap space after this… a Kampf (high end) to Arcaro (lower end) 4C type. I think the odds are higher they go UFA here. For RD, Peeke is the guy I think they’ll really target. Saying that though, Avs have been rumored around more puck mover types. Not out of the realm they get a Klingberg type (wouldn’t be my choice, but they’ve liked him a lot before).@henchman21, you mentioned we might be looking at a good 4C and a RD for insurance, which I would think so too. Who do you see as good targets?
sucks
Will not be shocked if the Avs don't try hard to sign him.
Still wouldnt mind us going after Lindholm and Newhook would shift to wing and RyJo would be the 3rd center.
Think RyJo will run him?No. They still have Jordan Binnington
Who would be a good winger for newhook?
I'm going trade basically. Denisenko, gurianov, zadina, barabanov, berggren, comtois, max jones, Tippett. Any of these available for cheaper? It's hard because if he's a 3C, you might be putting him with less skilled guys. If he were to ever be a 2C, his shortest path might be as a top 6 LW more than a 3C?
I think this one can wait until the TDL. We’ll know more about Landy’s rehab and how the rest of the team is performing. Now that the #2C has been "solved" they need to handle the Toews situation. Trade or re-sign, walking is a terrible outcome.
