Honest question, is the Avs mascot holding a gun to your head each time you post on here?I understand what you're saying, but you're trading away and letting go our 4th and 10th best scorers this last season. On top of Landy not returning, Bura / Kadri gone, that's a bit of production we need to bring in, and we still haven't re-signed Rodrigues.
We are an offensive Powerhouse, and need the numbers to be able to play on our toes.
In my opinion, we haven't been a team that has an openness to drastic change. Some people have argued that we need like 10 players in and out. In my view, it's the loyalty and consistency that's added to our continued strength despite injuries, so for mine, the status quo is my weapon of choice.
Plus, to be honest, I get heartbroken when any of our players leave. Literally tears heartbroken haha.
That's honestly why I hope we can fit all of EJ, Newy and JT in, then possibly add 1/2 players tops to strengthen us. With that consistency and added depth, I truly think we win a cup next season..
Honestly what the f*** is going on in Calgary and Winnipeg? I've never seen anything like it, ever, and now we have 2 cases at the same time.
Blame the Canadian government. I mean, even Taylor Swift is boycotting Canada
I'm sad to see EJ possibly go. Guy deserves to retire an Av and then get a coaching gig. Persevered through the terrible years, was an absolute rock for the team and sacrificed everything he could to help the team get to the cup. Also the embodiment of the team's culture.
Hope he finds his way back in some form.
It's still AlbertaOh man …what is going on? Calgary is not that small of a market easily accessible to any city in NA. It’s not Edmonton or Winnipeg .

I'm curious what he signs for. If he signs for $2M+ then I get it from a cap perspective.
But if he signs in the $1-2M range, I think it could be a mistake to let him go, because they'll be hard pressed to find a better third pair D man at that price, unless they bring in a good young defenseman on an ELC.
Not to mention the learning curve adjusting to the Avs system with someone new.
Alberta is the worst province in CanadaThe city itself isn't too bad. Alberta is the lowest cost of living city in Canada with an NHL team (Winnipeg is lower but living is not how I'd describe residing in Winnipeg).
In the past they've been able to attract some UFAs (like Kadri just last year or that defenseman from the Islanders).
What's gone wrong there?

Part of it could just be dependability. EJ gets hurt…a lot, which then leads to depth guys playing more.
I hated it feels like you qere dropped in the middle of nowhere. But Im an east coast guy anyhow. Ontario Quebec has some beautiful places , Newfoundland is a gem but the Martimes for me.What?! That’s absolutely ridiculous
Calgary offered him big but he's still going to UFA , hopefully for cheaperThat’s fine. If Avs get Lindholm he’ll be playing with damn good players. He’d do well with Mikko on his wing
Lehkonen-Lindholm-Rantanen
