That sound delicious.So let's help Florida's PP+defensive skating next year, Girard+ for lundell+Forsling
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't their owner like the richest guy in Canada?Ugly situation unfolding in Winnipeg. Everyone wants out and that team simply can't afford to go through a rebuild and not have fans show up to games right now.
And Bowness went public with his disgust at the players. It came out today that Helleybuck has told the Jets he absolutely will not sign another contract with them(Or any Canadian team), so he's gone along with PLD. Lots of speculation that Wheeler and Scheifele want out as well.
Not baseball pitchers were talking about. What a weird take.
Players would love to come to the Avs. Not many are willing to take a hometown discount because there aren't many players from Denver and there isn't any tax advantages or big city lights. But to state no one wants to come here is simply untrue. The Avs would be high on most free agent lists, but money talks and they usually aren't one of the highest bidders.
Doesn’t mean he will fund the org’s losses. They’ve already pushed the message to fans that if they don’t support the Jets, the team may not survive. They did this in April.Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't their owner like the richest guy in Canada?
The Avs need a 2C but is anyone else kind of pivoting on PLD due to all of his Quebec drama?
If he’s willing to extend I’d go for it but I wouldn’t even bother without one. Also not super worried about price for him. He wants 9m but I highly doubt he gets that.
He's got more red flags than a May Day Parade. I'd take my chances with Newhook first. The Avs need a 2C but is anyone else kind of pivoting on PLD due to all of his Quebec drama?
More Tanks, too. He's got more red flags than a May Day Parade. I'd take my chances with Newhook first.
Those LTIR contracts don't do shit to help us unfortunately. If dealing with Arizona, I'm trying to land Hayton, Crouse and as many of Little, Voracek and Weber as I can. It's Stan's money, I'll take every LTIR contract I can to get us as much cap space as possible (or am I not understanding how LTIR works still?).
Pls god no.He's got more red flags than a May Day Parade. I'd take my chances with Newhook first.
Mittelstadt and Laughton could be a good combo as well
Meyers as 4LW, David Kampf as 4C, Engvall as 3RW, "splurge"on 2LWTrue. And assuming the move G in said Mittelstadt trade, they would have cap space to go after a good winger as well.
Lehky - Mack - Mikko
???? - Mittelstadt - Nuke
Newhook - Laughton - ????
???? - Meyers - LOC
Toews - Makar
Byram - Manson
???? - Malinski
Hunt - MacDermid
George/Frank
~roughly $11M in space for the remaining 4 roster spots.
Too much. Very rarely do teams give up a 1st for a 3rd line C. It's happened before (Gaustad) but it's very rare.Is 27th overall enough to acquire Laughton? I think it’ll cost a bit more but I’d absolutely make that trade.
Mittelstadt has had one decent season after several underwhelming seasons. His past season might easily be an aberration where he now back slides.
These types of bargain contract players have gotten 1sts over recent years. 27 makes sense given how teams have handled similar players in the past.Too much. Very rarely do teams give up a 1st for a 3rd line C. It's happened before (Gaustad) but it's very rare.
27Th + Something for Laughton and Wade AllisonIs 27th overall enough to acquire Laughton? I think it’ll cost a bit more but I’d absolutely make that trade.
A very late 1st rounder definitely isn’t too much for an impact 3C on a very good contract with term. Most contenders will be in on this guy.Too much. Very rarely do teams give up a 1st for a 3rd line C. It's happened before (Gaustad) but it's very rare.
I know his value is low and he just signed in Modo for a couple of seasons but Philly had interest in Sampo Ranta before. Perhaps they’d offer him a full time NHL spot. I’d do 27th + Ranta for Laughton. If we could snag Allison out of the same deal I’d be really happy.27Th + Something for Laughton and Wade Allison

What’s Allison’s potential ? I’ve seen a few posters talk about him beforeA very late 1st rounder definitely isn’t too much for an impact 3C on a very good contract with term. Most contenders will be in on this guy.
