Friedman has said he is in no hurry to sign anywhere and may be waiting to see how things shake out before picking a team to sign with. I still think the Avs will go after him. That would allow one of Lehky or Nuke to slide down with Rosco and Wood on the 3rd line.Surprised we haven’t heard anything about Patrick Kane
maybe Zadina was hanging with Vrana ??
If Kane is willing to play here I do think the Avs would have interest. They've shown interest before, and he's commented that the Avs would be a fun team to play for.Friedman has said he is in no hurry to sign anywhere and may be waiting to see how things shake out before picking a team to sign with. Did I miss something here, or is this re: Tarasenko?Walking away from 4.6m is a choice....
awfully vague hahaWalking away from 4.6m is a choice....
Not Tank, Zadina. If there is a mutual termination, Zadina is walking away from the last two years of his contract.Did I miss something here, or is this re: Tarasenko?
Would you mind to provide a legitimate source? I've heard the opposite quite often and very recently.I read that Lafreniere is actually available.
Rejected all and then fired his agent eh? Probably because he couldn't get him better offers.
I know he was salty about it back then, but it was years ago. From my understanding, he just was at odds with Berube.Same guy that wanted out of STL because they gave the C to ROR instead of him. Dude has a huge ego and doesn't come across as a nice person.
I'd take a flier on Zadina, his underlying metrics were actually decent.
Unless you are paid to stay in Detroit , then it really isn’t ….Walking away from 4.6m is a choice....
Shit
No, but the Avs are likely stuck in a holding pattern with signing anyone else until they get something done. That could be 3-4 weeks if it drags out to a hearing (July 20th - Aug 4th).Really nothing surprising here. They'll still get a deal done.
i'm scare that the asking price will be steep , LAF was a 1OA only 3seasons ago after all . I'm pretty sure his value is still sky high. I dont Drury doing a favor to his buddy Sakic with a player with so much upside.I read that Lafreniere is actually available. I'd like to see the Avs acquire him as a safety net in case the whole Drouin thing doesn't work out - since I'm not 100% sure that it will.
I don't think he'd cost too much to sign and could be a nice fit in the Top-9 and potentially Top-6 eventually. I still think it was a bad fit with the Rangers and he ends up a 25G-25A guy at minimum.
Don't know what the cost would be to acquire but having received that extra 1st from the Newhook deal should put the Avs in a position to give up the 2024 pick for some immediate help.
This here. It would've been more surprising if his name wasn't on that list, as that would've indicated that a deal is imminent (as in agreed already and just waiting to be signed).Toews filed for arbitration too after grabbing him. This is a nothing burger.
If the asking price would be Byram, then no way. He might still have RFA status while we end up in our rebuild/retool phase free t years from now..i'm scare that the asking price will be steep , LAF was a 1OA only 3seasons ago after all . I'm pretty sure his value is still sky high. I dont Drury doing a favor to his buddy Sakic with a player with so much upside.
