Starting to get the same vibes as last year. The team needs work if they want to lift the cup and must have a big deadline to make it possible.

It's a complete mystery if they even want to spend this deadline, probably not based on past seasons.

They simply need to be healthy when the playoffs roll around.

They are as good as any of the top teams in the west.

Also, statement by the Yotes after Galchenyuk cleared:
"We are aware of the incident involving Alex Galchenyuk and strongly condemn this type of behavior. Once the Club was made aware of the allegations, we immediately began the process of terminating his Standard Player's Contract through the proper channels in conjunction with the National Hockey League. As a result, the Arizona Coyotes today have exercised the team's right to terminate the contract of Alex Galchenyuk due to a material breach of the terms of his Standard Player's Contract. The Club will have no further comment at this time."

There's a reason you feel this way, it's because it's 100% the same. They've just shifted the issues, and this management has proven to be absolute dog shit at in season trading/adjustments, sans one year.

This is why I'm concerned. They need to head into the season with as few problems/areas of concern as possible. Which will require them to be proactive over the next month and a half so when mid September rolls around they are pretty much good to go outside very minor tweeks.

Hindsight is always 20/20 but we should've claimed tolvanen last year. No idea if Wood and Colton would've acquired but a Wood Colton Tolvanen third line might've been pretty good

Yeah they had a brilliant deadline, but it was only that one damn time. Every other attempt during the cup window has been a total dud.

I'd argue that our cup window truly opened up when we acquired Toews, so we are 1/3 in terms of deadlines.

Deadline 1 was Soderberg, Nemeth and Dubnyk - Clear dud. Honestly might have been better to have stood pat

Deadline 2 was Manson, Sturm, Lehks and Cogs - Arguably one of the top-3 deadlines in the past decade for any team

Deadline 3 was JJ, Eller and Rydahl - Not terrible on paper, but the fact that the 2C hole never got filled puts this in dudville
