Not a huge Shara fan. Ineffectual physically and not all that great if the goals aren’t going in. If we handcuff him to MacK like NJ did with Hughes for a while, he can put up some points…and like NJ we will be constantly looking for a better option. Not gonna drive a third line on his own for sure. He could be useful in special teams though.

Much rather package up for somebody better like Debrusk who scores goals and brings jam or even Laughton, who is going to be one of those middle six animals in the playoffs for somebody and is on a crazy good contract.

Trade JTCs rights to the hawks for 3rd or 4th round pick so they can sign him for 8 years. Hell, at this point I'd be all for sending the hawks our 4th just to make sure Bendar cant play his son 18+minutes every night

If the Kings need to shed cap from this PLD trade we should be all over Arvidsson. And then maybe see if we can snag Backlund with the new picks. Would be a great start to filling out the bottom of the roster.

Yup thats a different riff on the Backlund+TT idea that may cost less if the Kings really are eager to move cap. Arvy fills the same role and same cap and same UFA status next summer as Toffoli.

Fair. I shouldn’t thumb my nose at any potential middle six acquisition at this point.

Devils are one of my secondary follows though and maybe I’m just influenced by how he was thought of this last season on their forum. I suppose he could just use a change of scenery.

I defintiely don’t like giving up a 1st for his RfA rights even if we get a secondary pick back.

It's really not bad since you get him from age 25 to 33 and the cap should go up significantly in the next 8 years.

He turned 25 a couple of days ago...that's very different than signing an 8 year deal with a 29 or 30 yo. That's similar to Matthew Tkachuk last year.
