And the bruins got their asses whooped up and down the ice physically by florida in the playoffs.

The only time they battled back physically was when they got embarrassed with 2 minutes left in game 2. Besides that they laid down the whole series for the most part.

This is true. And I also think it was a coaching choice to not get "dragged down into the muck with a less talented team". Which proved to be an error. And an error I think the team learned from.

Go watch Tinordi fight in AHL he literally got face broken and mentally he was a mess - Trouba would destroy him

Reaves is a shell of self

Tom Wilson should be on this
Lucic got his face broken too, a few times, actually.

Trouba also isn't a good fighter. 99% of his fights are against sub par fighters.

- Florida was the healthier team at all positions
- Florida played with more speed, energy, and aggressive forecheck (see first bullet)
- Florida wanted it more
- Florida was more opportunistic

It was not because Florida won more fights, were bigger, hitting more, or whooping assess.

This narrative is tiresome.

I hope so, but we’ve heard similar things every year since it originally happened against St.Louis 5-6 years ago

I agree with all the bullet points.

However getting their ass whooped physically up and down the ice 100% happened and everyone knows it. It got to the point where no one even stood up for Ullmark when tkachuk was getting in his face. It was a disgrace.

Florida's forwards wore down the Bruins defense and had them coughing up the puck left, right and center. It helps when you have that style of player sprinkled throughout your entire forward group and not just on one line. The Bruins right now have a non-physical top 9 and a non-physical defense outside of Charlie McAvoy.

It has nothing to do with fights. I think I've been pretty clear with this. I don't care about who fights who, I care about how a team responds when they're in the trenches.

You can have 130+ points in the regular season, but when the going gets tough it's a completely different ball game. I'm hoping the Bruins adapt.

Cool. Frederic still isn't a top 10 fighter in the NHL. Whether we disagree or not.
I just watched Lucic destroy McDermid on two fights after watching McDermid beat Reaves

Frederic would destroy Tinordi - poor guy he’s a nice kid but he’s got some Greg Campbell in 23 and me

Over who on my list? Frederic hasn't destroyed anyone of note at an NHL level.
You got a bunch of guys on your list I’m not impressed with - Frederic I got 7 & Lucic 1

Frederic gets decision on Tom Wilson - other was a roughing no punches

This!

the Bs had no answer for the Cats tenacious forecheck.

And yet the Bruins could have easily won it in 5 games. Marchand stopped on a breakaway as regulation came to an end.

Or they could have won in 6. Had the lead more than halfway through the third period but also had a brokendown Ullmark in goal.

Or they could have won in 7. Had the lead with a minute to go in the game until McAvoy tipped one in.

B's hd no answer for the forecheck, but were never behind in the series until it ended.

Who on my top 10 list aren’t you impressed with? Who has Frederic beat to earn a spot in the top 10?

Good summary even if it does give me flashbacks

it was a truly heart rendering ending to a special season.. but when you have a chance to close out a series in games 5, 6 and 7 and don't ....you get what you deserve - which was a first round exit

Two massive chokes in game 6 and 7 and a very winnable game in game 5

"but also had a brokendown Ullmark in goal."

And that ladies and gentleman was the difference. Monty rode a lame Ullmark like a rented mule when he had a healthy Swayman on the bench ready to go.

Hope Monty learned something from it? He's seems like a great coach.

For me it's not about fighting . Team just has to be immediately responsive when teammates are being abused. Push back do some abusing.

Agreed give a team that doesn’t take shit and gives constant push back/muck it up.

I’ll take the at any day over a team with a couple bottom six fighters who go once every 25 games or in Frederic’s case can disappear physically for long stretches of games at a time

florida was down 3-1 got dominated game 5 outshot by double and same scoring chances - Marchand scores on clean breakaway Florida sucked

Boston blew game 7 empty net they outplayed Florida majority of game

Bruins also led in third in game 6 before Cliffy went to Work

It’s hilarious how Bruins fans have made it a gsme sweep Bruins never led

Game 5 was the most disappointing sporting event I ever attended in person.
