OK, enough bull****, with Lucic possibly gone from the team they need to go get at least one forward that fights and hits and one physical D.

Essentially they replaced Lucic with Heinen to get more physical. Enough, Sweeney go get somebody, I don't care if it is Mathieu Oliver from Columbus at this point.
Kolesar and Hague.

It's the reason I have been mentioning Luke Kunin. One, he is a decent player. Two, San Jose is abysmal and I'm sure would like to dump his contract which is the only negative I have with him. Three, he hits everything that moves and will fight. You can play him anywhere in the bottom 6 and in a pinch in the top 6 for a brief time.

As Providence turns into a dumpster fire I would see what Mike Grier would take for him and 50% salary retention.

Losing AJ Greer for nothing really hurts now. He may have been a mediocre fighter but he worked hard, stood up for his teammates. Was a cheap contract and fit in the room.

The good news in that situation would be, if Greer starts to struggle and Calgary decides to waive him, I think we get first dibs on him if I'm not mistaken

If Greer is on the 9th floor sure. But who are you removing from the bottom6/9 to fit him in? Steen? Greer has feet for hands compared to the Steen engine. Lauko has more jam and Beecher is playing wonderfully.

Also …a skidding Greer isn’t exactly the cavalry you’d prefer.

"Per Boston Hockey Now’s Jimmy Murphy, an NHL source told him that he thinks that “Sweeney’s in on Zadorov.” That same source also noted that they “know for a fact Sweeney’s looked into him before.” Now that Zadorov wants out of Calgary, it certainly would be a good time for the Bruins to make a push for him."

Honest question, when a guy goes on the trade market has Murphy ever NOT put out an article saying the bruins are interested? Feel like he has a "source" that says the bruins are interested in literally every single player that is made available. Sports journalism seems like the easiest job in the world.
Is his source Don The Godfather?:D

Steen looks HUGE!

Question...does this roster need any upgrades? They are playing like they don't but I have this nagging feeling the other shoe will drop and the team is riding a "fighting above weight" wave. I'm a proponent (as are others) for more toughness to address playoff style of play. Others are a proponent of a #1/2 C and/or top 6 winger. (very few teams don't want/need this). Are we happy with the status quo? ...again I have a nagging feeling but am starting to feel like we have a chance at a decent deep run with the current roster.

This is where I am at. Other than the why is he here Patrick Brown experience, there has not been a night that I would have played Greer over anyone in the top 12. He had a little toughness, but not enough to justify the limits on him as a player

Do they need and upgrade. Probably, but I'm not really sure what it is today, and thus would not be making a move right now, unless something falls into their lap. Right now they could use an upgrade at RHD over Shatty, preferably a more physical player, but maybe Gryz goes to the offside, and it won't be a physical upgrade, but still could be a massive upgrade from inside. Could they use another scoring winger? Sure what team couldn't? Could they use a legit #1 center, maybe, again who couldn't, but not sure where that fits unless Poitras game falls apart

Need another top 6 RW and play jake on the left or a top six LW and play Jake across from Marchy, unfortunately this is because Jake isnt scoring.

Still think another C with top 6 chops would be ideal as it means you can also shift Zacha. It would be ok at some point to give poitras some nights off. Hes going to get worn down out there over 82 games.

Maybe You can see what you have in Geekie at C when hes healthy. but then again its the winger problem.

Think another top 6 forward is the obvious need. The Debrusk-Poitras combo does a very good job of driving play at 5v5 regardless of who the third guy is, think if you put another top 6 scorer with those two you'll see that line start scoring much more frequently. Not sure who that guy will end up being cause we're so far from the deadline, but that should be the prioirty IMO. Maybe we'll get lucky and it'll be Lysell, but even then I dount Monty will want two smaller rookies on a line together come playoffs.

I know it’s a pipe dream, but if Arizona falls off by the deadline, I’d love for the B’s to target Crouse.

Huge, tough, can skate and score a little.

Perfect for this team, IMO.

Cap hit is a little high @ 4.3, but he’d be a good get.

He would be a target I would go after, would be a great addition to this team.
