Really looks like his left skate got clipped in the air by the trailing right foot of the Detroit player. I get that Stutzle has a reputation, but I don't think this is a dive. Looks like he's trying a little jump to avoid the opposing player, and that small contact impedes the landing enough to put him off balance. Soft penalty perhaps with the contact being somewhat incidental, but at the same time the defender is dragging his right leg a bit so I guess it's technically a trip.

I've always been a Stutzle fan but he lead the diving brigade last week in Ottawa. Hab fans boo him vigorously and they would know a diver if they saw one.
Random stat but i was checking dives/team few years ago, from 2000 or so (no stats available prior to that) to 2018 or 2019 not sure anymore, anyway guess what team leads the league

Hypothetically if they were innocent it would be a huge blow to their career missing a season or two. Will definitely hurt their career earnings as well.

But I also get teams don’t want to deal with the questions or the bad PR by playing/paying them.

All you can hope for is that justice is served I guess
I think the Mitch Miller situation shows that these guys are all toast.

And to be honest, after reading the Globe and Mail article that includes reporting on interviews with the players themselves -- consent or not, what they did to that girl is abhorrent.

If any one of them ever showed up in a Bruins uniform I don't watch games, go to games, buy merch, or have anything to do with the Bruins. Just on principle.

You don't do that to young girls. You just don't.

Looks like a good trade for both teams. Vancouver is stacked. I understand putting all the chips on the table - never know how long that will last.

Ah, didn't think of that.

Yeah, wouldn't need a calculator to track those.

Then again it probably isnt a great measure because the stripes don't call it nearly enough and it also probably ought to be applied to guys throwing their heads back in agony if a stick gets near enough but doesn't connect, or the ones that drop a stick and shake their hand even though they weren't touched.

Pretty bad stat to use IMO because of how infrequently it’s called. It’s not like Stutzle got one last night or Larkin got any for the 35 dives he’s taken this year.

Ha, I just posted that- great minds and all that, or possibly in my case, the old blind squirrel :D

34.

The 35th was technically a dive, but in the course of launching himself he did make contact with another players stick which added to the magnificence of the triple axel. I'm going to allow it.

Funny though how it's ok for habs with that Mallioux kid who was showing team mates sexual photos ( if memory correct)with a young lady.

And the kid even asked not to be drafted that year!!!

The kid tries to sit out the draft (maybe for PR purposes) and STILL the NHL says, "yeah, we know you're bit of a dick and in a self imposed self reflection phase right now, but with the 31st overall pick......".

Tell me why my phone auto corrected Tim Stutzle as "Toaster Strudel". And I didn't even notice until now 😩🤣
That's so funny. I thought you did it on purpose and thought it was very creative!!!

I wish I was that creative

These android phones have an autocorrect mind of their own. As @Bruinswillwin77 can attest.
