We now know definitively that Formenton was one of the guys:

I would just add good on the Sens for getting in front of this. Shame the other clubs involved here seemed to have done nothing even though they had to be aware of what was going on.

Outside of my shock, it's great to realize that so many players are taking advantage of the player assistance program now.

#MeToo

A dirty hit that f***ing blatant should be the easiest kind to send a message on.

I genuinely hate DOPS and Parros. I don't think he's incompetent I think he's malicious about picking and choosing how to dole out punishment.

No.

He's not malicious.

He's not incompetent.

His employer is the NHL.

well said, this story is only going to get worse for those involved. Hockey Canada turned a blind eye for decades and it has finally caught up to them

Friedman says Kings willing to move Kaliyev for a depth forward with some edge

I remember the noise when the bruins drafted Beecher over him

May they be prosecuted to the fullest extent the law allows.

Oh and the Flames better issue an apology for claiming mental ealth reasons for Dube's leave of absence. Using that to cover up the real reason is a massive disservice to those who are struggling and are on leaves because of it.

My heart is with the victim.

I for one hope everyone gets their day in court.

Same. And if it doesn't happen until 2026 that's ludicrous but of course at the same time completely typical. The case shouldn't get specially privileged just because some of those involved are famous. But this places the league and the teams in a very difficult position. The players have been charged but not convicted, and therefore retain their presumption of innocence, their freedom (with conditions) and in principle at least their right to work. Are they going to just sit on the shelf for 2 or more years? Or play with a huge cloud hanging over their heads? The latter seems unlikely but at the same time staying in limbo for that long doesn't seem right either.

The slowness of the court systems in pretty much all western countries causes all manner of problems.

Hypothetically if they were innocent it would be a huge blow to their career missing a season or two. Will definitely hurt their career earnings as well.

But I also get teams don’t want to deal with the questions or the bad PR by playing/paying them.

All you can hope for is that justice is served I guess

Ha, I'm watching the Sharks/Kraken game on espn+, decent scrum/fight in front of the Seattle net and the crowd was just sitting there like barely a reaction.
