I want them to go down so bad lol

And yeah, City should get the book thrown at them. Is it still an active investigation? They're going to slow roll this into the 2060's.

If City got the same deduction they would lose all their points dating back to the half way point of the 08/09 season.

Would be interesting from the Chelsea side.

Basically the new owners might be interested in saying "look we've found a lot of sketchy stuff that we've turned over to you and there's probably a lot more we don't know/haven't found yet. Let's just take an X point deduction and a fine to go to the football pyramid now as a blanket punishment for everything that happened before we took over"

Granted that would also depend on how the season is looking. If CL is a possibility, they definitely would not want a deduction this year because they desperately need that revenue to help balance FFP.

115 counts or what ever it is for City.

Do we have similar information for Chelsea? How many counts of FFP and other shady things have taken place?

Is there any update from the FA about the progress of the City investigation? We're going on like four years at this point.

Apparently it’s taking longer than Everton because it is ‘more complicated’ and City have better lawyers

It is more complicated.

Everton submitted books that showed a massive loss. There was some debate over exactly how large the loss should be considered given COVID and various things, but there was no real argument over the underlying facts.

With City they've vehemently denied ever doing anything wrong and have repeatedly submitted fraudulent books/done stuff off the books.

With Chelsea it was a lot of off the books/fraudulent books stuff as well plus it was from a previous ownership group and by a guy who is now sanctioned by the government so it's harder to get various bits of information.

It’s more complicated because they have 114 more charges
