Also doesn't make United look any better.

"Yea we knew the dude was in a toxic long term relationship and had numerous red flags in his past, but he kicks the ball good so we ignored it" isn't exactly a great defense of how they handled it the last few weeks.
Yeah, it could go in a crisis management textbook for what not to do.

Obviously this was much lower stakes, but when Chelsea announced Stake as a shirt sponsor and there was immediate backlash, they immediately killed those plans and moved on from them. That's what United should've done after those initial leaks. Just say it was part of a comprehensive plan of multiple options, and then just commit to him not returning and how you're sorry for any miscommunication in thinking that he was potentially returning. Deep down, they are annoyed that he isn't returning.

All Jussi is saying is, it's probably something like a Heard/Depp situation, where both have likely done some pretty toxic shit in their relationship, and that also doesn't make Greenwood any less guilty of the stuff that he did.
THIS!

Also, no way this would've happened if Roy Keane was the captain of the team. This sort of stuff is bound to spread as rumors in the locker room. Slabhead was too busy fighting the police in Greece to do anything.

Poor lad his back issues have gotten worse I guess.

Stress of the job, he will take a sabbatical after this year I imagien.
He signed a new deal late last year that carries him through 2025. It's been reported he will probably step away once that deal is up.

What % of footballers with possession --inside the penalty area-- dive for the penalty. I wouldn't be surprised at 25% and that is extremely high... 1 in 4. There has to be a stat for it, no?

CP - Arsenal, alone I heard it 3 or 4 times in the first half, "'player' goes down looking for the penalty but 'referee' isn't buying it"

Not really, because "dives" aren't a tracked stat.

I think so, they influence the play on the field (for better and for worse)
How would you even propose tracking dives as a stat? Anything outside of a very generic "player falls to the ground in the penalty area" would be very subjective.
I think if they could establish a unified criteria, yes it makes sense. Without it, not so much. We have people review assigned goals (vs own goals for examples; who gets the credit) after the fact so I don’t think it would hurt to track dives after the fact. Dives are kind of like pornography. I can’t define the word but I know it when I see it. If we can get a definition, why not? But alas there is going to be no appetite to do this

They keep touches in the box, but not possession kept / lost in the box... it would be in there... kind of. Yeah no way to know. Just seems so frequent.

I am shocked but there were also at least half dozen fouls that were worse and no one else thought it was red including the Bournemouth players and coaching staff
For once I'm not surprised because they can't set a precedent that was a red card. I saw that play 20 times after on Saturday and Sunday and never saw it even get booked.

I think I saw at least half of those before Saturday was over! Def needed Alexis to have a chance at Newcastle

James Pearce (and David Maddock) going hard at Paul Tierney for not doing his job. Must be trying to get back on Klopp’s good side
