I'm really surprised that they're cancelling mid-tournament over a few positive cases.

They decided to press ahead with a tournament in a non-bubble environment, with players staying at public hotels, with crowds in the arenas. It seemed to me that if you were going to do that you would do it with the understanding that there would be some positive cases. Did they expect to go through this and no one would test positive?

Strategically speaking, they should have moved the tournament to spring even if stanley cup playoffs or alternatively olympics would happen simultaneously. That would have given them enough time to organize a proper bubble. Also in the real world the current spike would be over.

They should never have moved away the tournament from Gothenburg to Alberta. The tragic thing is that they moved the tournament because of the pandemic, haha.
