Well, this is what you get when you as a politician listen to crazy people and not to your top advisors in order to seem in control.

first it was a report about a bad virus in China.

Then you see fake videos of people dying in the streets.

Then people start to freak out (including politicians) but not epidemiologists.

Then we started counting dead people all over the world (that will always look bad). People get more worked up and politicians cave to the pressure.

Then we forced epidemiologist to take on the role as spokespeople for the government.

Then we decided to close everything down and cancel everything, leaving millions without a job and forcing businesses into bankruptcy.

Then we got a vaccine.

And here we are. Back to square one.

But difference is that everyone now want to blame someone. The politicians are blaming people who aren’t vaccinated, but they are not spreading the virus. Every player in this tournament is vaccinated and they will carry the virus without knowing it.

unvaccinated people will get sick and after that they will be naturally vaccinated.

We can’t beat the corona virus, it’s like punching the air at this point.

There is a vaccine for polio.
Meaning if you get vaccinated you can't get polio.
We do not have that for covid.
We have booster shots ...... 1st 2nd or 3rd .

true what IIHF will do next season when Variant Zelda appears , we close everythign again and cancel the tournament? healthy kids who are double vaccinated who followed the protocol missing the chance of their life to play in a tournament that alot of kids dream of. Pretty sad at how many side you look at it.

I hope they reschedule the tournament in May anywhere else than Canada and im canadian.

They don't stop you from from catching covid-19. The vaccine doesn't completely stop the spread of covid 19. It reduces the viral load so that there is a lower chance of you spreading it to others. Same with a mask it helps prevent YOU from spreading it to others. The vaccine also helps reduce the severity of the symptoms if you catch it.

I wonder how many of those 5.4m didnt have any health problems before that or some people that died of other stuff were added into that 5.4m list.

I hope everyone realizes that they are not powerless. Unless you live in a communist country, which probably wouldn’t even allow you to read this website, you can hold leaders accountable. That may be political leaders for the policies they institute, but it’s also the hockey governing bodies in your country. They are nothing without those they serve. All of them have a say at the IIHF. Make your voice known to them about this.

You might think that you have no power, so why waste your time? But without a collective mindset this will never change. If everyone is on the same page, they cannot continue this for long. They will be overpowered by the collective.

It's more noticeably spreading in NA and other first world countries among vaccinated individuals because a vast majority are getting vaccinated so a higher population of vaccinated individuals will have higher numbers of positive cases. The percentage of those getting sick/dying will still be higher among unvaccinated individuals.

Are these kids even getting sick or is this the same asymptomatic issues the nhl is having? Clearly the "rules" cancelled this more than the virus did. Close the area's and let the healthy kids play it out if they are not sick, screw this endless testing.
