Amen and they should have understood to permanently close the hotel and other facilities from others, excluding audience in the games. They expected things to be normal and didn't have a plan for scenario if someone gets sick.I think this sort of simplistic reasoning fails to take into account that we are at the absolute peak of the most contagious variant.
In all likelihood, the period between December 17 2021 and January 17th 2022 will be the month where there will be a record number of COVID transmissions in the first world.
This tournament was a bad idea from the start and suffered from poor planning as well. But it is also a victim of extremely bad timing. This is the worst time ever to hold this type of event.
