Very fortunate to win this game but I will take it and so will they.
Jays should have acquired FullmerIs anyone surprised? I’m not. FN Blowjays pen sucks! Romano is so over rated by this city.

What even is this post. You've been doing this with the Leafs/hockey for years and have now moved onto baseball.Like I said. Springer is useless. He’s either hurt or garbage when he plays.
Every off season signing had been utter trash.
Ryu garbage
Kuku worse then garbage
Springer doesn’t play or shit when he does
Management needs to be questioned really hard
The entire world knows our bullpen is a joke
Has it ever been addressed? Nope
Signed frustrated fan
Jays should have acquired a bullpen. Cost them a playoff spot (along with Montoya) last year and don’t even wanna know what it will do this yearJays should have acquired Fullmer

Those are the ERAs of seven of the regulars in the Jays pen. It's a good one if you've been paying any attention.

Rocco Baldelli goes ballistic when overturned call helps Blue Jays beat Twins in 10 innings
Umpire Marty Foster called Toronto's Whit Merrifield out on what would have been an inning-ending double play. The call was reversed by replay umpires, who said catcher Gary Sanchez broke baseball's rule about blocking home plate.www.startribune.com
Rocco Baldelli threw his cap, kicked dirt on home plate and screamed at a pair of umpires. But his fury was directed at someone 1,200 miles away.
The normally unflappable Twins manager unloaded his anger at home plate umpire Marty Foster and crew chief Alan Porter after Foster's judgment — that Gary Sanchez had tagged Whit Merrifield out at home plate, ending the 10th inning and keeping the game tied — was overruled in New York by replay umpire Jordan Baker.
His verdict: That Sanchez had violated the rule against blocking home plate, that he had not given Merrifield the required sliding path. Merrifield was ruled safe — scoring the eventual winning run in the Blue Jays' 3-2 victory — Baldelli was ejected, and the Twins grudgingly, bitterly settled for a split of the rowdy four-game series.
"That's beyond embarrassing for our game, for all the players out there," Baldelli fumed in a brief, profanity-laced postgame interview. "It's one of the worst moments I think we've seen of umpiring in any game I've ever been a part of in baseball. It was pathetic, what just played out."
Potentially critical, too. The Twins' two-game AL Central lead over Cleveland was sliced in half by the loss, with a road trip to Los Angeles, where the Dodgers own the best record in baseball, up next on Tuesday.
"It's a game that may have playoff implications at some point. And to have it taken away from us, it's tough," reliever Caleb Thielbar said. "It was pretty righteous, what [Baldelli] did. He was in the right, as far as I'm concerned."
Rocco Baldelli on play at plate
Blue Jays @ Twins

Rocco Baldelli takes the floor to defend his team and his stance on the replay that decided the outcome of the Twins vs. Blue Jays game.
First image is when he catches the ball and Merrifield was already sliding, giving him a right to that laneWhen i looked at this play in real time all i saw was what catchers used to do... block the plate.. and with that you took whatever punishment came your way. Sanchez easily could have stood slightly in front of the plate and left an ample sliding lane while still making the play. Sanchez is a shitty catcher.. terrible pitch framer, terrible pitch caller, terrible plate discipline. add to that he doesn't seem to know it is 2022 and not 2011. You do not see this play everyday for a reason. MLB changed the rule to protect catchers..
Baldelli can f*** off.
The runner knew he was out so he tried to slide into the catcher rather than trying to score. Smart, I suppose.First image is when he catches the ball and Merrifield was already sliding, giving him a right to that lane
Sanchez realized the throw was high and stepped forward because he knew he had no chance to apply the tag in time if he didn't block off that lane

A close play at the plate is always going to decide games in some way. Runners can't plow over catchers anymore the trade off to that is catchers have to give runners a lane to the plate. They are never going back to the catchers getting blown up so this rule is realistically going nowhere. The runner knew he was out so he tried to slide into the catcher rather than trying to score. Smart, I suppose.
They probably should fix the rule, for these two teams it probably doesn’t matter too much in the grand scheme, but you don’t want to see a call like this decide a meaningful game.
You are correct, you can’t.I thought you couldn’t block the plate?
At last, the correct response.Jays got lucky to win that one. Right call at the plate imo but surprised they made the right call.
Whit looking like a solid acquisition.
