Nazar vs Dach....I prefer Nazar. By a lot. Which does not mean that Dach is a bad player. But again, it might just be the unknown vs the known....

But I'll repeat...the wrist injuries are freakin scary.

Dach still has a nice tools kit and a high ceilling. It's a gamble. It's ballsy. I prefer Suzuki-Dach-Dvorak than Suzuki-KK-Dvorak. We gonna see if it pays soon enough. Don't forget we have two unprotected firsts next year too.

Yeah for sure, Slaf looks like a good kid. Not denying that. I hope it works out but somehow I really doubt it. Still anxious to see him play with the team to form a better opinion.

You need to get past his Liiga stats. He was 17 years old and has terrific upside in the NHL. You can't simply dismiss what he did at Hlinka-Gretzky, Olympics and Worlds. He has shown he has the ability and his all-around play took a huge leap this year. He's still growing into his large frame and figuring out his strength. He has a mean streak too and will be a force in the playoffs.
Like we discussed before... other 17 year olds produced more than him.

I don't dismiss the tournament stuff I simply put that on the side and focus on Liiga because that's what concerns me. Mean streak bean streak, Anderson got 4 points in 20-odd playoff games. We need a star forward not another Armia. I hope he's a star forward.

In any case, the pick is made so let's hope for the best.

Of course we will. How are we supposed to evaluate a management if not by looking at the past moves?

But the amount of "experts" of young players here is staggering. Every damn draft we have people high on a bunch of guys and who complain because we are not taking them and then 2-3 years later 99% of those guys we should have drafted busted. I mean you can question the moves (like i did for JK) but to evaluate the moves already is kind of saying hey i'M a scout spending most of my time scouting junior leagues and the reality is none of us here are. The dunning kruger effect is strong every draft.

I'll do with HuGo the same i did with MB. I'll give them the time to build their team and then i'll evaluate them based on that. I wish we would have kept the 13th overall pick. I was not a big fan of Romanov i think lot of our fans overrated him. He's a nice prospect but he really project as a 4th dman. I'm as concerned by Dach as i was with JK but since he's younger i'll give him the next season to impress me and say he was worth that 13 overall. At the end of the day it's not that 13th overall who would have saved the team. It's going to be a multi-year process people have to realize that.

That's the thing. Dach is exactly where KK was last year but no one is going to OS Dach. I've said it on a previous post but I'm not exactly sure about this trade/gamble. I believe it was quite obvious, after not picking Cooley/Wright, that the current management had another plan in mind for the center spot. But was this trade, as others have said, made too soon? I'm far from being an expert on prospects or young players.. but a lot of people have question marks about this specific move. People liked him in his draft year.. not so much since then.

Imo. Stacking the picks like Chicago is doing was the thing I thought they'll do. We'll see if they're geniuses or not.
